Does anyone have the nutrition information for a moussaka? Ordered one from a Greek restaurant today. It weighed about 350 grams.

Without knowing the gram weight of the ingredients in it, it could be anything.

Well does anyone know any Greek restaurants that post their nutrition information online?

Most major chains usually do, its smaller chains and mom and pop places that dont.

    I googled it for you

It says 1080 calories but again.. without knowing yours and theirs, who knows how big or what their ingredients are

My BF made a moussaka a few weeks ago. It had 3688 calories for a weight of 2541gr. So a portion of 350 grams would be 508 calories.
But restaurants often use more butter, oil, more fatty mince,...

I’d definitely estimate on the high side because aubergines soak up oil like a sponge and unless you were to use a non traditional recipe and methodology to construct the dish (which a Greek restaurant probably doesn’t) the oil calories alone - not to mention fatty lamb and creamy bechamel elements will be pretty high!

Anything between 1200 and 1500 would be my guess.

I would go on the high side too. Home made moussaka would be a totally different animal.. Restaurants add lots of extra fat, butter, salt, cheese - all the stuff that makes it taste good.

Call it your treat day :)

    Six calories.

Lol... last time you posted it was also "6"

Obsessions in some things can be healthy, but 6's seems a little weird lol

6 is the worst grade in German schools (ex year 11-12/13 for those that go that far) while it's just about a pass on the Dutch system.

    Interesting.

When I was in school we had a score out of 100%.. 60% or higher was a pass
