06/17 230.6 ??? I don't understand this one but accept it. I need to get out and walk more, even in this every day lately rain. My body is just holding on to everything it seems. I need to jump start things, and the food side isn't producing the results I want all by itself.
06/18 229.8. Let's follow the bouncing ball! This all points at fluid variance / salt etc or a dying scale battery. User error / bad eyesight are also possibilities, especially since I weighing before the first drop of coffee. Whatever it is, I want the trend back. Gotta get moving in the right direction!

Although I’ve set a loss goal for this round, my most important goal is to stop snacking at night. If I do, I’ll lose weight. I often eat when I’m not hungry, and that adds a lot of calories. So lose or not, I’m going to try really hard the next 3 rounds to cut the snacks. If I can do it for 3 rounds, that should go a long way toward breaking the habit. I’ll record my progress here. And yes, I did snack last night. In the meantime, here’s a rose.

Mostly no snacks. I had some air-popped popcorn last night but calories were below goal, so all good. Off for a walk and then mulching the garden and deadheading/weeding before the heat. Be well, all!

I’m feeling energized suddenly, maybe because my garden is coming together. A year ago, the perimeter of the yard was all river rock and there was one tree, a very sick maple — essentially a desert. It’s not yet the way I want it, but it’s come a long way and aside from a wide variety of plants, we have rabbits, chipmunks, toads, butterflies and caterpillars, several kinds of bees, and lots of birds. How is this related to weight loss? Working in and enjoying the life around me blocks depression that makes me eat too much or what I shouldn’t.

I try not to focus too much on scale movement for a single day, but it’s always nice to see that drop. Night eating is the worst for me (I had to define “Late Night” as a separate meal in MFP so I can keep tabs on it) and I kept it under control yesterday. Trying to get back to the 229.8 that I saw on the 14th and make it “real” instead of what must have been a low fluid day - adding my Happy Scale chart below since that helps me focus on the trend instead of one outlying point.

@quiltingjaine Net calories is just food calories minus exercise calories. If you look under “Nutrition” in the MFP app you can find total calories (food calories eaten) and net calories (food minus exercise).

@Katterin227 Thank you for the explanation. I don’t use MFP for tracking and never add back calories burned. When I did WW in 2008-9, I did use the calorie burn from my HRM to calculate added points.0

I’m excited for tonight because we are celebrating our wedding anniversary (real anniversary is next Wednesday) with Thai takeout (first time since middle of March!!!) and homemade Key Lime Pie for dessert. So, there will be some Thai Drunken Noodles and pie in my future! I’ll be making the pie this afternoon so it’s nice and chilled by dinner time.
We did another soccer workout this morning which was very good at getting my heart rate up. Food was pretty solid yesterday as well! Have a good day and wish me luck in not eating too much of the key lime pie batter when I’m making it later today 😉!

Thank you! I can't believe we've been married 3 years (7 years total together)! They've been amazing despite all the hiccups and roller coasters along the way.
It'll just be nice to relax and enjoy some good food together . I even did pretty well with only eating some of the Key Lime Pie batter. You have to taste it to make sure it's just right lol. Now it's all set and chilling in the fridge.5 -

06/17 …..208.4 ….. I had a very severe glucose drop yesterday that came on quickly while I was working with some hired help. I quickly brought it back up (within 30 minutes) which left me too high in calories and carbs yesterday. However, I burned 3423 calories so that has helped to keep the scale under control (being over carb usually leads to 3-10 pound overnight weight gain). I am hoping today will go better. So far, so good.
06/18 …..208.4 ….. Finally I slept in the 4 hour range again. It had been in the 3 hour range for the past few very busy days. Still yet, I woke up very tired. Carpet installers arrived early so today I will be moving back in lots of heavy furniture (with help). I wish I had time to prep cook. I’m hoping I can fit it in this weekend. I also need to log & track my food again. It does greatly help me to stay on point with portions.
06/19 …..208.4….. I suppose TMI would help. Maybe soon. 4.5 hours of sleep. I woke up very tired today. It has been a very rough and physical week. The heat is horrible and no AC in these old cabins in my area. No major stores either so there is little relief. My main goal today is to try and keep the house as cool as possible for my 20 year old cat. Fans all about the room moving the air so she is staying comfortable so far. I did not have time to prep cook yesterday for a large batch, but I did cook a lovely shish kabob dinner low carb style with chicken and healthy veggies. Leftovers for lunch today.

Round 117 – June 16 to June 25
Female, 5’, 67 years. SW – 168.8 GW – close to or under 167, UGW – 140.
Back again after a fast trip to new location to check out houses. Lots of stress – The house we had our eye on suddenly dropped $10,000 which made a total drop of $36,000 so we were afraid it would sell fast (which it has). Our house still has, at the very least, 2 - 3 wks. work to get it ready to list (We got it incredibly cheap as a fixer-upper which we gradually lost steam on.) and we just can’t work like we did years ago. Weight loss went from “in denial” to “it was ugly” – thanks @eyesopennow .
Positives out of this though: When we actually saw the house - not really what we’re looking for. After looking at a few houses have a much better idea of “how the house looks online” vs. “what you are actually getting.” Great realtor who has lived all his life in that area and could answer all kinds of questions. Did only gain a couple of lbs. despite stress, carpal tunnel pain from overdoing it, and tiredness (it’s about a 12 hr. trip from here).
Things are coming along and I just have to keep working at it, but not overdo it. Have to remember that taking care of my body is also important …
Goals: continue with 12 hr. IF, 5-6 glasses of water a day, complete my tracking every day and get some kind of outdoor exercise unless it is raining – in which case indoors.

06/17 - 60.1kg, no change, no bounce up, so all good; that said I felt like I didn't eat quite right yesterday...
06/18 - 59.9kg, < 60kg is the best news, need to lose 1 more kg from a pound-perspective to get < 130
06/19 - 59.9kg, is this a new trend? Last night I felt like I ate too much dinner, although calories were okay...

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back doing 5 miles a day!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.
