My "petty" reason I hate corona

1)I miss hugging my friends
2) I miss being able to dine-in some of my family's favorite restaurants
3) I miss going to state parks that have swimming. They do allow swimming but at limited capacity numbers and for us it's not worth the drive there to take a chance if we will get in or just be parked waiting at the gate for hours.6 -

And why...?
Shortage of cans. They are concentrating on packaging best sellers.
Just now Googled it and you are correct! I would never have thought it, but then I buy more Diet Sprite than any other sodas. Amusingly, this has pushed me to buy Diet Ginger Ale for my lemon-lime fix and therefore Diet Pepsi for my cola fix. I prefer Diet Coke, but sodas are always on sale at Kroger and you have to buy 3-4 packs from the same distributor to get the sale price, so I have not bought any Coke products in months.
ETA: And Canada Dry is owned by Dr. Pepper, so I'm not sure why it gets lumped in with Pepsi products in the sales.1 -
Missed going to 2 large stadium concerts (plus a couple other ones), MLB games with friends. Going to miss the annual guys family trip to an NFL game. Also missed extended family bi-annual beach vacation as well as trip with some friends to Caribbean to celebrate a friend's retirement.3

I miss the vibe of crowded, chattering yoga classes that suddenly get down to business, still with vibe.4

I don't think your reason is petty at all! No one wants to lose muscle mass. My petty reason is that there is nothing new to talk about, LOL. It wasn't too bad in the Spring when I started a home vegetable garden, and it was fun to plant and watch things grow. Now the last of the harvest is coming to bear, and there is a tinge of Autumn in the air. I think Fall and Winter are going to be MUCH harder to get through. I am definitely going to have to get a new hobby!4

I'm a teacher and have been transferred to a new school, so I don't know any of the pupils (nor teachers). For me, it's usually hard enough to learn the names of pupils and "relate" it to their face, but with masks it's going to be impossible... (everybody has to wear a mask here from the age of 6).12

My petty reason why I hate the virus as a healthcare worker the many beautiful lives we lost to this virus many that could have been prevented. All the pain and suffering we are still having all the other stuff is just an inconvenience that we can live with.8

This is the total opposite of "My petty reason I hate corona." , but nonetheless heard. 💛5 -
Can i just say that i love this thread? A bit of a lighthearted acknowledgement of the irritations that, in the big picture are not that huge, but on the daily just kinda drive us nutso. lol
My husband and I are travelers. Like - we move to a new country every few years and live from there. Spending 6 months in my home country makes me get the 'travel itch' . Now we can't travel, and we can't really even plan our next destination so life feels on hold. The upside is we've taken this 'down time' to get serious about our health. My husband gifted me a llama pinata full of gold coins last week on our anniversary. For each week we follow our fitness/diet plan, we earn coins, and when we collect them all, we get to plan our trip to Machu Pichu/South America. (hoping by then travel plans will be feasible)8 -

Y'all sound like some very cool people 😎 and what husband buys a llama pinata and then fills it with gold coins!?! I really hope your plans work out! In the meantime...enjoy getting healthy so you can better navigate Machu Pichu!2 -

Lol ya he's a creative guy lol. Although I should probably clarify that they weren't REAL gold coins! lol Just tokens to represent success. (not even the chocolate type! )
We've always wanted to hike the Inca trail but quite honestly are probably way too out of shape to do it. So this gives us a year or so to get in shape and that will be our big reward!2 -
I hate that my kid can't go to school. The kid needs the social aspect!5

All of the above, lol. Also, My first ever trip overseas into London...London!!!.....then hiking around different parts of the UK. Cancelled. sigh. "First world problems", is what I tell myself, along with "This, too shall pass".8

Trying not to be too upset about it, but I was supposed to go on a 6 week paid work trip to England, and then vacation for two weeks after. Trying to reschedule it for this spring instead, but who knows if that will happen based on COVID.8

My petty reason is that I can't ever get a gym slot I want. Which is ultra petty because I am a member of two gyms and I can always get a gym slot I want in one of them. But the other has a trap bar and I want to use it. Waah, waah, waah.3

Dear Dept store people, I've lost weight and NEED to try these on in your fitting room! 😟17

My petty reason is that I used to love grocery shopping, and now I hate it and I hate all my fellow shoppers 😂. Someone is always standing in my way or fondling the produce or drifting down the middle of the aisle in a daze or going through the checkout line with their mask pulled down, hoping the poor checkout girl calls them on it so they can go off on how their rights are being violated.
I made these masks and that made me feel better 😂
(But for real I’m a lil worried that these feelings of disgust, fear and rage toward other humans are going to stick around long after the virus has left)24 -
My petty reason is that I'm at the stage of my journey where I need to get a few new pairs of jeans. Whilst the shops are open here in the UK fitting rooms are closed, I usually need to try on about 10 pairs before I find a pair that fit.7

E-learning isn't working well at all for my kids (20 minutes of class and then all day Fortnite), all my clothes are way too big and I'm not buying anything I can't try on (not making 20 trips back and forth to find the right sizes), and why in the world can I never find any diet Dr Pepper?? That's my caffeine source since I hate coffee.6

Can't go wine tasting w/o making a reservation anymore.
Ruins the sponeneity of winery hoping in Napa, Sonoma, Livermore and the Central Valley of CA near where I live.1 -

You cannot have explained my feeling on grocery shopping better. This is EXACTLY how I feel. I used to love vaguely wandering around the shop, looking at all the food, planning what I might use it for. I really enjoyed that alone time while also being productive.
Now I just want to be in and out a quick as possible.4 -

I miss hugs.... My state is pretty open so I get to do most of the same stuff. So I am very blessed that way. But it's hard to see my mom and not hug.

Not cool when young kids at the store have to see that.6 -

tbh if they have Internet access, go to school with peers, or otherwise have at least near average vision, they've come across worse...just today alone. Trust me, the kids'll be alright as long as their parents/guardians are parenting.15 -

They will, but sure don't need this type of "help". Just because they can access it doesn't mean a "mature" adult should be forcing them to see it in a public place.
If you have kids would you want the neighbor to be yelling eff this, eff that MF'er, when he/she was out in their yard and your kids were out playing?

Kids are pretty low to the ground and I’m tall plus I’m a dumpy middle-aged lady so no-one notices me anyway. It’s my superpower. 😂😂

You're right, stupid people feel they have to wear that kind of stuff in public.3
