Thrive- Anyone doing it?

I tried the 3 day mini and just got my 30 day supply. It was great to help with my appetite control during the 3 days so I'm hoping it'll help with cravings and hunger along with sleep. My energy levels are pretty good most days but I think most of us could use a boost in this. Just wondering if anyone else is using it for whatever reasons and what your results are. I'm not pushing it for others to join me and am not thinking it's a miracle thing, just looking for your thoughts.

I read reviews about how it can change your mood considerably. It is all just anecdotal of course but something to consider2

I find that every one of my friends who try these types of things end up stopping because of cost and lack of results. They do well at first but that’s because they are excited about it. They eat better and move more. They stop with the healthy habits and their progress stalls. This tells me that they are all just expensive placebos. If products like this truly work, doctors would prescribe it.7

Thrive is another multi-level-marketing (MLM) scheme -- a barely legal form of Ponzi scheme. It is expensive and has no proof it works. Read the review at https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/thrive-patch
Some information from the review site:- No studies have assessed the effectiveness of the Thrive Patch for weight loss.
- There are no studies indicating trans-dermal patches work for the ingredients in Thrive.
- Most people who recommend it are also selling it (part and parcel of it being an MLM scheme)
- An 8-week supply, covering the three step program, costs about $300!!
In other words, other than the placebo effect you may experience from applying the patch to your body and emptying your wallet, these are likely to have little effect on you except, perhaps, a small rash at the patch site.
Avoid things like Thrive and other multi-level-marketing products touted for weight loss. They are almost always EXPENSIVE QUACKERY!!

This. I have to assume it's the placebo affect as well. Someone drops a chunk of money on products, so that motivates them to commit to all the stuff that does make a difference - better food choices, more active, better adherence to sleep schedule, and they are proud of themselves for committing which improves mood even more. But as we all know, motivation is fleeting and once it dissipates the products stop "working".
OP, I have seen short term success with all sorts of products. My long term success was free - diligent food logging, slow consistent increases in activity level/NEAT, working one by one on changing bad habits to good: sleep, diet composition, exercise, goals, etc. I have found losing weight thru a calorie deficit and increasing my activity level got me all the benefits most products advertise like better energy, better skin, better sleep, better mood.
If you want to spend the money, go for it, but understand your success will depend on your actions and habits, not a product. Good luck!7 -
A month supply comes out to about $5 a day, about the price most spend for a cup of coffee. I have never felt better!0

probably bit more than $5/ day if it was $300 for 8 weeks supply 2 years ago (according to post upthread)
I love how people trying to minimise the cost of anything round it down and reduce it to a daily price.
JeSuisPrest - how long have you been on it?
What other changes have you made?
I'll stick with the free per day system of just eating less than I burn.
Well, equal to, now I am in maintenance.1 -
A couple years ago, one of my coworkers started using it. For the first couple weeks she RAVED about how fantastic it was, SO much energy, feeling SO great, and tried to get everyone else onboard...
...yeah.
That didn't last long.
Here's the thing. IF - and that were a big, fat IF - the ingredients were actually beneficial if taken orally, why would you assume they are going to work transdermally? If you have a headache, I assume you actually take the Tylenol orally, rather than rubbing it on your arm?3
