How long do your scale batteries last?

I've had the same scale for several years now, and I really like it. It is simple and precise enough to not annoy me. I assume it is fairly accurate too, but don't have a way to judge that currently.

However, it eats batteries like there's no tomorrow.

I weigh once daily, and generally need to replace the scale batteries every month. I tried using rechargeable batteries, but it somehow killed them (now they won't recharge).

Is this normal? Or do I just need a new scale?

Sounds like you need a new scale. DH & I weigh daily, and we JUST replaced the battery (one of those inch-wide coin batteries) after a little over 11 months.

My scale's battery lasted for about 18 months until the last time I changed it. If it's wrecking batteries it's probably time for a repair or a new scale.

Something's definitely wrong there. Mine last more than a year. I'd invest in a new scale.

Ours has lasted for several years. AFAIK, it's still accurate.

I weigh daily and the scale is probably 5 years old - because I think I bought it when I had the bathroom refit. (Incidentally, it’s the exact scale Diatonic pictured above). I’m yet to have to change the battery.

My food scale, however, is a whole different story! That one eats batteries like a thing possessed! Of course, I’m using that one many, many more times a day, but it still drives me nuts! 🤯

Think I’ve changed my bathroom scale batteries once or twice in the past four years! I weigh probably once a day, with the odd day missed.

Food scales - maybe once every couple of months or so

Okay, I guess it is time. Also, I thought I had this scale for maybe 3 or 4 years....turns out it has been 7. To Amazon!
