40 mile test ride of new saddle and riding position.
A success, how nice not to feel like the seat pad of my shorts has been spot-welded to me!!
No chafing and no numbness in those important places. Slight aches in neck and hips but thinking that's just my elderly body adjusting to a new position and ROM, hips sorted themselves out after 10 miles so probably just a prolonged dynamic stretch going on. Need to learn not to grip the bars quite so tight though.
Hoping this will let me get back to enjoying long rides rather than enduring them.3 -

Bit of an unusual cycling week for me.
One short indoor session due to the weather and the gym's COVID-related time restriction.
A few miles pedalling on my bike on a smart trainer and a multi-adjustable rig during my bike fit and then a couple of proper rides testing out the new saddle and riding position.
40 & 64 mile rides confirm it's vast improvement so I'll buy another saddle the same and convert my winter/wet weather bike to the same set-up.
123 miles for the week and 384 for August.2 -
