I've been fairly low volume (for me) recently. A few turbo sessions, weekly racing and a weekend away last weekend where the weather was a bit rubbish so I didn't ride as much as I'd have liked to.
But I have a photo for you - the one on the left popped up on my Facebook memories from this time last year so I wore the same jersey on this morning's turbo session so I could compare just how much looser it is now.

At the moment it's only time trialling rather than bunch racing but I prefer TTs anyway.1

@sijomial yes! From about 2.55 this time last year to 3.55 now. I've only actually gained 12w, most of the change has been on the kg side of the equation 😉 although now I'm eating at maintenance I'm meant to be moving to more of a power build phase.1

Got a morning 30.3 mile ride in today

Weather was ok at first, turned really windy last third of the ride. Beautiful morning to ride tho.

Turbo trainer for me today. 3x20 at FTP while watching La Course and cheering Lizzie deignan on (she's local to me and I know her parents). Outside tomorrow.2

Today’s ride was rather chill though it was hot and humid. Trail was wet and had a bunch of debris. Really just happy to get it in after all the rain last week and the rain scheduled for this week.

3 hilly hours outside today, 16mph. Included 2 hills I usually try to avoid, neither of which were anywhere near as bad as I remember them being. Less weight helps!3

@sijomial Thanks for the detailed reply!
After ~90 minutes I usually need to take a short break to loosen up my shoulders and shake out my hands; I don't know if that is necessary due to a non-perfect bike setup or just lack of time in the saddle.
I didn't know a thing about bike fitting when I got my road bike. I was just looking for a used bike in my price range, and the only "fit" I checked was if I could adjust the saddle low enough that the tips of my toes touched the ground. A few weeks later I found a "bike fit calculator" online, and after plugging in my measurements, bought a different stem and added a spacer to raise the handle bar a bit. I have no doubts that a professional could tweak the bike much more!

This was the first weekend this summer that I spent at my place (usually I drive up to my parents on Friday evening until Monday morning, to support them a bit, but this weekend they went on a mini-vacation). Which translates into the rare opportunity to go for a ride on the weekend
About 45km. I was planning to stop at a Café at the halfway point, but it was rather crowded, so I skipped the Cappuccino break and just ate the cereal bar I had brought at a traffic light stop.
