Today was officially a rest day but before doing the last of my 12k steps, I wanted to try something.
Five plank holds in 10 min. One min hold, one min rest. It wasn't so bad and if I do it daily for the rest of the month, I'll surpass the 60 min goal.

I'm aiming for a two-a-day (with the advanced workout done after work) but consider this a placeholder of sorts.
I did my second 2 min hold at the end of today's prescribed MFP upper body workout.
Perhaps I'll attempt the "five plank holds in 10 min" thing again tonight as well. #tba π€·πΏββοΈ2 -

That attempt for 5 extra plank holds today? Forget about it, I never said anything. But I did do two more 1 min plank holds before starting the advanced plank workout with weights.
And what's my progress with the 8 lb front raises while in plank position?
ZILCH, save the initial delusion that I could do at least one. C'est un peu dΓ©courageant! π
The only other workout scheduling combo I can think of to make this finally work (this month) is doing the advanced workout first thing in the morning after a rest day.
I can't be defeated like this...

Yesterday was an active rest day (walking and Gyrotonic). So today was a "two-a-day" that started with the advanced workout.
I. STILL. CAN'T. DO. PLANKS. WITH. 8lb. FRONT. RAISES.
But why not though? π± Bring me the human who has done this in one of these threads. Otherwise, I will assume no one has ever done this since this one lone woman in 2009. It makes no sense otherwise lol
Or...I can work on this all winter.
In the meantime, my penultimate MFP upper body workout for the month was prefaced with the "five plank holds in 10 min" thing. So...there's that, I guess.

The last day of the MFP upper body workout was supposed to be yesterday. I skipped it. But then MFP erased all my progress when I went to check-in today. Ooof. So I restarted the plan and did a similar day (I couldn't get back to Day 28 because the MFP app was being glitchy and I didn't want to waste another 10 min).
All that to say, I ended the morning workout with a 2 min plank hold. And guys, I didn't shake!!!
No advanced workout today but I'll attempt once or twice more before month-end.

8/7: 5:00 (partly during a Tabata abs workout)
8/8: another 5 down π
8/9: planed to do 3min, but kept going for 1 more minute π: 4:00
8/10: Tried the planks from here (some I knew, the biceps was a killer!), holding some for 1 min, some for 30s (the biceps for like 20s) https://youtu.be/VH5F-dKoM98

8/11: 2:30 min during HasFits workout, then 1:30 while they cooled down ππ
8/12: let's say I took a day off π€·ββοΈπ
8/13: 4:00 ups and downs (GBC, Day 1) + 2:00 for the fun of it π (can you tell that I'm in a good mood? π; no particular reason)
8/14: 7:00 Pamela Reif makes it look easy, but it isn't (to me, at least). Had to go half way through to side planks, then went on like her.
8/15: 3:00. Do pushups count as planks? These 3 min after lifting and doing pushups were a struggle today. Well, that's how we build πͺ, right?
8/16: felt like taking a break, so rest day
8/17: thought of planking for 3 min, pushed it further to 4 and ended up doing 5:00 π
8/18: 5:00 (4 Γ 1:00 ups&downs, part of GBC Day1 + 1:00 straight arm)
8/19: 4:00 at the end of a kickboxing workout
8/20: long demanding hike, no planks
8/21: none, top tief. No freaking idea why I dont do the planks in the first half of the day π€¨
8/22: 4:00
8/23: 5:00 (Soh's, modified) + 3:00 during tabata (new workout)
8/24: 4:00
8/25: 5:00, then managed to get my ποΈββοΈ Day 1 of GBC in and that meant ups&downs, so I did 3 more sets (a 1 min)
8/26: 3:30 during a HIIT workout, then 1:30 as they cooled down π
8/27: none, stressfull dans and tired
8/28: 5:00
8/29: 5:00 (Le Sweat on popsugars + 1:00 on my own before cooldown)
8/30: 4:00 combos and since I did my ποΈββοΈ session in the evening, I ended up doing 3:00 more of ups&sowas
