85 pounds to lose

I lose a ton of weight, then gain it back. Lose a ton then gain it back. I lost 105 pounds, but gained 70+ back. (I love food, especially sweets, and have no will power). So here I am, starting again. 85 pounds to lose. Who wants to be my friend and help motivate me?

What do you plan to do differently this time?2

Well, I think you should first consider what your plan is. You need will power or you’ll just repeat the same pattern. I love chocolate, cookies, ice cream, cake, etc. I have a weight loss plan that allows me to eat those things in moderation so that THIS time I can lose the weight and keep it off.
If your plan is to eliminate the foods you love to lose weight, you are setting yourself up for failure. Post weight loss, you will simply return to eating those foods and gain it back again. You need a sustainable change to your life and habits in order to succeed long term.2 -
I'm an over eater. I'll keep eating even when I'm not hungry. It's like an obsession. I just have to work on breaking that obsession. And that's where the problem lies...1

Motivation and willpower are limited resources. They're based on feelings.
This time, do everything differently so rebound weight gain with friends won't show back up on your doorstep. So much of this stuff is mental. It's all about what's going on in the brain. The appetite control center is located in the brain and not the stomach.
Our brains have deep trenches and ruts. The brain has the ability to create some new neural pathways but it requires sustained practice of new cognitive behaviors. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency.
Our brain lays back in the weeds and coasts on autopilot while it takes you on an eating excursion. The brain won't even think about stopping you one single time to reassess what in the world is going on until you've eaten it all back. The brain really enjoys the entire process of eating it all back without a shut-off valve in sight.
Then the brain, in its stealthy sly wily coyote way will point the finger at you when the eating excursion is done.
Just look at what you've gone and done to yourself again. This may be followed by guilt, shame and actual name-calling. It's passive-aggressive behavior at its worst.
To win any war we have to know our enemy. In this case, it is the brain. We have to coexist with it but it's nothing but a spoiled brat. It wants what it wants when it wants it. Get bold. Roar like a lion and tell that brain to just shut-UP.
You're the only one who can do this. We can have motivators until the cows come home and go back out again but only you can deal with your brain.
I've got some habits I can't even explain
Never say never say never again
I'm all dressed up and ready to reign
But I'm always tripped UP by my brain
How you speak to yourself matters. What the brain needs is real direction on a daily basis. Learn how to hold yourself accountable. Write these things out, it helps create new neural pathways.6 -

Within my MFP Larger Losers Group we do discuss things like this but it is on a level really for self-guided improvement so pretty shallow overall. It might be directly helpful or it may help you decide on therapy.
The goal, as you have discovered, can't be simply to lose weight. It has to be to lose the mindset and habits of the person who gained it.
Larger Losers is for people who are starting with or originally started with 75 or more pounds to lose. It is specifically for people who want to lose their weight in a sensible and sustainable fashion. Here is the link if you wish to check it out:
