Dietary fiber

is there a way to include minimums of dietary fiber along with fats, starches, and proteins? I would like very much to not only track my fiber intake but also keep it front and center when I make my food choices.

I don’t think you can track fibre in the macro section but it’s listed in the nutrients tab so you can definitely keep an eye on it.

Just bear in mind that not all entries in the database are complete so check the fibre is correct when choosing an entry to log.

If you use the web version of MFP, click on Settings, then Diary Settings. Here you can choose from the dropdown menus which nutrients to track. I like to keep an eye on fiber too!

It shows up in the app for me too -- I think it carried over form selections I made on the website, because I can't see any way to select the nutrients you track in the app.

Oops, never mind -- just realized the place I look at fiber in the app shows the full range of nutrients that are included in MFP database entries. I'm just so focused on the ones I care about that the other's fade into the background.

Fiber shows up on my diary page in both web and Android app. It's been way too long since I changed it, so I don't remember whether I changed it on the web and got that same thing in the app automagically, or changed it in the app separately somehow.

There seem to be some diary customization settings in the app (via "Settings" then "Diary Settings" in the menu), but I'm not sure what you can control there (I have premium now, don't know whether free looks the same, but that's where I'd look for ways to customize in the app).

Just remembered -- if you have your phone set so the screen rotates if you hold the phone with a long edge parallel to the ground, you'll see the columns in your diary the same as you see on the website (again, using an Android phone).

I don't see any way to change the diary customizations under "diary settings" in the free version of the app. I think you'll have to go to the website to do that, and it carries over.
