August focus: improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
Aims:2020 Focus:Never give up! Never give in!- Stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Recent Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 βJGM10D ~|~ Round 124 πΉPosting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 β with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 β Working on it. Strength training has slowed progress, but thatβs okay.
That's a WIN in my book!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

08/28 204 Yesterday 12031 1322 calories late evening workout and lunch walk. Not what I wanted on but going down.
08/29 202.6 15865 steps 1544 calories walk to the park with the little ones yesterday.
08/30 201.7 10536 steps 1252 calories dancing and cleaningβ¦short walk.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 124 (round 56 for me ) I'm in for another round (as always!) β I need to just keep going! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4β - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight β I'm working at it β it's a permanent way of life !
Goal for this round β to lose a pound. Stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, keep the 10 days binge free again, it makes such a difference!

08/25 133 β 8.64 miles walked yesterday, chocolate got the better of me last night (sigh!). DGS back in theatre for liver biopsy today, bloodwork figures indicate possible rejection, biopsy will confirm/deny, if it is rejecting they can prescribe additional drugs to reverse, keeping fingers and everything else crossed.
08/26 132.4 β Walking non existent! Storm Francis forced me back home, I don't like walking in the rain and with blustery gusting wind it was even worse, that together with lunch out with my sisters meant that I was 386 calories, 23g carbs & 42g fat over. DGS is well in himself, awaiting liver biopsy results, hopefully today.
08/27 131.8 - 10.2 miles walked yesterday, 48 calories in credit, but 37g carbs & 10g fat over. But more importantly, DGS liver biopsy results showed that there is no signs of rejection β hurray !!
08/28. 132.2 - 4.29 miles walked yesterday, 142 calories in credit, 11g carbs over. Best news - DGS discharged from hospital yesterday πππππ. Still long way to go, weekly hospital appts etc, but such a big step π.
08/29. 133.6 - 4 miles walked yesterday. 180 calories, 10g carbs & 8g fat over, I celebrated yesterday!!
08/30 133.6 - 12.86 miles walked yesterday, 750 calories in credit.
08/31 133.6 - 10 miles walked yesterday, 597 calories in credit, all macros in green.
09/01 133 - 12.8 miles walked yesterday. 882 calories in credit & all macros in green
09/02. 133 - 8.21 miles yesterday. 606 calories in credit & Γ ll macros in green. I disappeared for a couple of days; we are away for a long weekend in our caravan on the side of the River Thames & my phone died, had to borrow DH's just to log food!
09/03. 134,8 - oh dear self sabotage - least said!!! A new round for a new start !!!
