09/04 - 191.6 I'm happy to see that. After my daughter's softball game yesterday she really wanted a caramel frappe from McDonalds, which also happens to be my weakness. I had iron clad willpower and didn't get one for myself as well lol
I set my goal to lose 3 lbs in this challenge, which seems like a little too much but I really can't wait to see the 180's, so I'm hoping that my willpower sticks around! My youngest 2 kiddos and I are going to our lake lots to camp this weekend so I wont be weighing in tomorrow, and I'm sure there will be a small bump in my weight. Have a good weekend

09/05 - 146.6 - back to where I started. Not surprised. I was embarrassed to post this but it is what it is. I found out my dad has prostate cancer and was in a bit of a fog. No logging and a lot of mindless eating the last couple days. Will recenter today and get back on track. I would love to get to the 144s by the end of this 10 days, but will take what I can do.

Round 125 Goal: I will be going to the beach next week, so my plan is to hopefully maintain through that & not gain. Would love to be under 170 when this round ends but not sure that is doable with a vacation in the mix.

09/04: 172.7 (down .7 from yesterday) Happy with this drop to start this round! Yesterday was my 4th day this week AF, I don't think I will have a drink until we are at the beach next week. Trying to bank some good losses before then! Up for today is a run and cooking a nice dinner tonight, last night was kind of a scavenger hunt for something to make, so my body is craving a real meal tonight.
09/05: 172.6 (down .1 from yesterday) A loss is a loss, so I'll take it! Yesterday was my last day at work before vacation & I was chained to my desk all day for an additional 3+ hours to get everything in order before taking off next week, so never got my planned lunch hour run in or even lunch for that matter. ( I telecommute from home to my office, so usually I can get a work out in on my lunch hour) Today my daughter and I are off on a little road trip to pick up a FB Marketplace find so will be in the car most of the day. Hopefully will be back in time to get a run in and water the lawn before dinner prep begins.

09/04 141 Wow. I’m down 14.8 lbs since April and have 1 more pound to go before starting maintenance. One day at a time, choosing hope, intermittent fasting, and tracking along with people in THIS GROUP almost every morning have helped me meet my 10-day goals! Staying in community really does help! I never felt I had to lose weight before but 15 lbs makes such a big difference on my frame and on my mindset. I’m grateful for you all sharing your struggles and triumphs together and allowing me to be a part of it. Thank YOU for posting today. 🤗

Yesterday was a good day. For whatever reason(s), I feel much more in control and determined. I seem to be succeeding at curtailing my night-time snack habit. I’ve set a goal of losing 1 pound/round, which seems realistic even with holiday season coming up. I guess one good thing about the lack of social gatherings is the reduced supply of beautiful goodies everywhere! Anyway, here’s to a great round for everyone.

09/04: 228.2 Too large Indian dinner last night. Still under calorie goal, but it's reflected in the scale for sure.
09/05: 227.2 More vegetables and fruit yesterday. Partner made a cream of vegetable soup last night, so we'll see if the cream shows up in the scale later. I'm really focused on reducing carbs and sugar right now, so worry about the fat another day!

09/04 191.8 to start this round. I didn't drink enough water yesterday and didn't realize it until bedtime. Also, I thought I came in at 1293 calories yesterday and then realized I also ate walnuts as I was cooking bc I waited too long to start dinner. Plan for today.. only snack at planned snack time. Do not eat mindlessly.
09/05 192.8 today, I didn't mindlessly snack but we went out for dinner last night. I had half a nacho order and it was DELICIOUS but I'm paying the price in salt water weight today! Water water!

9/5: 224.4 (-0.4)/20.0 (-0.1). Thursday was my wife's birthday, and we had steak, wine, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Yesterday was apparently ALSO my wife's birthday, and she wanted to try gigantic breakfast burritos from a local restaurant. I did not eat lunch, and I barely snacked for dinner, because I was SO FULL from breakfast. I probably should have split the thing in two. TODAY is ALSO MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY, as we're going to her family's home for some home-cooked deliciousness. What do I have to say for myself? So far, so good. It hasn't been perfect, but I'm minimizing the damage reasonably effectively. I'm also noticing, on my fifth challenge back, that the average body weight calculations I have been performing have actually been reasonably accurate, mirroring the program I've been using to graph my daily weight. I'm feeling pretty good today. (P.S. - I used my rowing machine yesterday for the first time in months)

Couldn't agree more. As much as it can be frustrating to look at a plateau, it's pretty fantastic to know your body, and to know that something good is coming if you just keep up your good work!6 -

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 125 (round 57 for me ) I'm in for another round (as always!) – I need to just keep going! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Goal for this round – to lose a pound. DGS#2 had his first hospital app't since his discharge a week ago, they are happy with him, all his blood numbers are improved, but they have discovered he has an inability to produce adrenalin!! Another problem to be managed!!

09/04 - 141.5 - This won't last but, wow, I haven't seen this weight since early March. We have a family picnic planned for Sunday and I expect to eat more than usual, so I'm glad I seem to be at the low end of maintenance for now.
09/05 - 142.5 - This is not a surprise. I taste tested too much while I was baking for the picnic. I ate lighter today and I'm planning to enjoy tomorrow with food and a few drinks so I'll just hope I can keep it below 145 on Monday.

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurt! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle. THEN...I face planted on the sidewalk while walking. Messed up my face, wrist and knee...sigh...Must keep going, tho.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
