I’m trying to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.
I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.
Struggle of the week: Still had a sore hip, but from the X-ray the physio said it's the best-looking hip for my age they'd seen, so there's nothing needs surgery.
Success of the week: Moving average has dropped 0.2 kg so that's on track with my 1000 kj deficit.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Success of the week: The air got better. I even saw a sunset. Shoulder is doing better.
Struggle of the week: Smoke and fog are back, especially in the morning and evening. Scale is toying with my psyche. Our county is back on the governor's "watch list" because of increases in COVID infections. More stress eating.

Success: Hit all my exercise goals this week.
Struggles: Been doing a bit of unlogged night time snacking, and it shows on the scale. While I'm still within my goal range, I'm at the higher end. I need to tighten up my carbs and be a bit more disciplined.5 -

Success/Struggles: My average weight for September was below my maintenance range, but it seems to be back up where I want it now. It's just been a really stressful time lately. I have been trying to stick with my routines of exercise and eating and that does seem to help. I had more stress this week when I found out that my boss of 20 years is going to have to let me go. I kind of knew it might be coming since business has not been good for a few years. But the silver lining is that there is another company that we have worked with that needs an accountant/bookkeeper and they really want me to come work for them so I guess it is going to work out for everyone. I'm a little worried that it may affect my running and yoga routines since I will be going into the office earlier so I may have to start getting up about an hour or an hour and a half earlier on days I run. Or maybe move my yoga to a different time. I'm sure I will work it out. I started my weight loss journey 5 years ago and I have no plans to gain those 80+ pounds back.6 -

The small tweaks I made a month or so ago are working, and I'm happy with the progress that I'm making towards the middle of my range.5 -

I was very tired Wednesday through Friday morning and hungry Saturday and Sunday. I've nibbled on sevral items all Sunday and Saturday night, but I believe I still stayed within my calorie range. My measurements have already decreased, I feel lean even with the increase in food, and I will definitely increase my shoulder press weight this week! I'm excited to complete another week. I know I'm only on week two, but I'm just looking forward to reevaluating after 1 month.4 -

Successes/struggles: We were away again last week and it was a similar scenario to the break we had in August - The Covid rules meant that all the food was plated up and served to the table. The resort usually have much of the food buffet style and I would load up with salads, veg and fresh fruit. Unfortunately, the portions of veg were very small and there was very little fresh fruit on offer. The desserts were all high carb, high fat options. I did have a swim each day we were there and we did quite a bit of walking, but Monday and Friday were spent driving. I’m happy that I didn’t put on more weight.
My trend has been going up since August – all these holidays! I’m still within my maintenance range but I need to keep an eye on things in the run up to Christmas. Not that there will be parties this year, even family get togethers will be restricted. My son is continuing on chemotherapy so he will be shielding.

As far as successes, I went shopping last week and bought some new dress shirts off the discount rack that were all slim fit! That was a nice feeling…
Struggles have been due to the fact that I had a dental procedure on Friday that has really limited my eating for a few days now so my calories have dropped off and I’m down a good 2 lbs, just at the bottom of my “range”. It’s leveled off the last few days which is good, but I’m having to eat ice cream at night just to get calories in so I don’t keep losing (oh darn ).

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Weigh-ins were higher this week, but that's to be expected with TOM water weight gain and a couple of high sodium takeout meals. I went on a nice hike this weekend as well as a shorter walk outside today. I'm enjoying exploring parks close to my area, and have managed to have good luck with weather most weekends. I know that the weather will get a lot colder soon, so I'm trying to get outdoors as much as possible before that happens.5 -

Success: Did a much better job this week controlling late night munchies and as a result got a whoosh! Because carbs at night = water retention in the morning. Also, rowed in my first Regatta in 37 years.
Struggles: It's a really busy time of year. I'm trying to get as much rowing in before the season ends, I'm working full time, and I've been doing quite a bit of volunteer work with the Democratic party and was just offered a "promotion" with them which means even more volunteer time. But it's only 3 more weeks, so I can tough it out.4 -

Successes/struggles: Since Coronavirus I haven't been going to my exercise classes and have been doing the equivalent with youtube videos (4x a week) except doing 1/2 hour instead of a whole hour. Also being stuck at home means my ordinary walking is less so I added walking 3 days a week and some extra mini exercise routines for my core and arms. Struggling a little to do them. I hope the habit kicks in soon.3 -

I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.
I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.
Success/struggles of the week: I was under my calorie limit 6 days, but my moving average went up due to constipation (I usually weigh myself first thing in the morning, before breakfast, after relieving myself).
I’m proud I kept logging my weight most days, though two days it made me want to skip it.
Feeling happy, though, as things are much more on an even keel compared to early in the year.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I weighed in right at the middle of my range on Wednesday, but jumped up to 112.4 lb the next day (high sodium takeout food for dinner on Wednesday!) but the water weight from that has slowly been dropping off. Yesterday I had a great day for steps activity as I went on a ~5 mile hike and then walked a bit more here and there throughout the day, with a total of close to 22k steps.4 -

Struggle of the week: Not only is my mass going up, but even my weight TREND is now outside of my ideal goal range and almost over the top of my absolute range. Time for something to change.
Success of the week: I spent several hours in the forest yesterday and got quite a few chanterelles. Sometimes they hide under the duff just a little.
Sometimes they really like to hide!

Success: Managed to maintain my weight after last weeks woosh - sometimes those low weights are fleeting. Did manage to get in exercise every day this week, despite being incredibly busy. Got invited to practice with the "Intermediate" rowers. No longer a "Beginner"!
Struggles: Even though I managed to get a row or a run in every day this week, I had to shorten my runs a bit during the week. Still super busy with rowing and GOTV work. Despite exercise and eating well by blood pressure was high this week. Just the upper number. Seems to be stress related.
