Successes/struggles: Since Coronavirus I haven't been going to my exercise classes and have been doing the equivalent with youtube videos (4x a week) except doing 1/2 hour instead of a whole hour. Also being stuck at home means my ordinary walking is less so I added walking 3 days a week and some extra mini exercise routines for my core and arms. Struggling a little to do them. I hope the habit kicks in soon.

    Sep 28 – Oct 4………… 75.1 kg
    Oct 5 – Oct 11………… 75.4 kg
    Oct 12 – Oct 18………. 75.5 kg
    Oct 19 – Oct 25………
    Oct 26 – 1 Nov………

I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

Success/struggles of the week: I was under my calorie limit 6 days, but my moving average went up due to constipation (I usually weigh myself first thing in the morning, before breakfast, after relieving myself).
I’m proud I kept logging my weight most days, though two days it made me want to skip it.

Feeling happy, though, as things are much more on an even keel compared to early in the year.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Hope everyone has a great week.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I weighed in right at the middle of my range on Wednesday, but jumped up to 112.4 lb the next day (high sodium takeout food for dinner on Wednesday!) but the water weight from that has slowly been dropping off. Yesterday I had a great day for steps activity as I went on a ~5 mile hike and then walked a bit more here and there throughout the day, with a total of close to 22k steps.

Success: Managed to maintain my weight after last weeks woosh - sometimes those low weights are fleeting. Did manage to get in exercise every day this week, despite being incredibly busy. Got invited to practice with the "Intermediate" rowers. No longer a "Beginner"!

Struggles: Even though I managed to get a row or a run in every day this week, I had to shorten my runs a bit during the week. Still super busy with rowing and GOTV work. Despite exercise and eating well by blood pressure was high this week. Just the upper number. Seems to be stress related.

@mtaratoot - beautiful mushrooms! What do you plan to cook with them?
@kgirlhart - Congratulations on the new job! Best of luck to you.

Successes/struggles: We were away again for a few days last week, too much high calorie food, not enough fruit and veg, but I'm still in my maintenance range. I think that's just about the last of the holidays for a few months, more of the country is going back into lockdown for the winter. We are booked to go to North Wales in early November but that looks increasingly unlikely.

It will be a case of hunker down for the winter. Best wishes to you all.

@kgirlhart - Congratulations on the new job! Best of luck to you.

I was lazy today and just made a chanterelle omelet. I cleaned and cooked the lobster mushroom; it smelled really good. I sorted all the chanterelles, and I cooked a bunch. Some went in an omelet, the rest in the fridge. I might make a rare batch of my mushroom soup. For sure I will simply saute a bunch, freeze them, and vacuum seal them for use the rest of the year.

I'm going out again tomorrow with a neighbor. I'm looking for boletes, hedgehog, and lobster. If all we find is chanterelles, she can have all of mine. Unless we find too many, then I'll keep my share. I can use them for baked fish, for toppings on a steak, for dressing/stuffing, for eggs, for shepherd's pie, and.... all year long! It's why I just cook them in butter with no other seasonings - I can adjust that depending what I'm making. I've even used it in cornbread. It also makes a nice gift. I've already given some away to very thankful friends who don't get out in the woods anymore.

My body has been trying to get me to eat more. Kind of like a bear heading into winter. It’s like I enjoy fall flavors and foods WAY too much, but so far I’ve been able to splurge here or there then go back into a deficit to balance it out so no worse for wear. There’s something about the seasons changing this time of year that makes me goofy, so hopefully this year I can navigate it successfully without putting a bunch of the weight back on. As long as I keep logging and exercising it helps me keep everything top of mind and I don’t wander too far off the reservation!

LOL

Successes/Struggles: We leave for vacation Friday! Only 4 days of work to get thru! I'm pretty proud of the fact that I'm going on this vacation only 0.9lbs heavier than I did 1 year ago, still 1.1lbs less than my bottom goal weight range. Without logging or calorie restriction. I've learned a lot this year about how to maintain my weight.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight crept up a bit higher again this week, but I did have a few high sodium meals out so I'm not concerned yet. My activity levels weren't quite as high in the previous couple of weeks, and I missed one of my "stairs" workouts inside my apartment complex this week due to being super busy with work stuff. That also affected my normal workouts as well, as I was rushing to get through them to get back to dealing with work issues, and wasn't putting in much effort.

    10/18: 164.5
    10/25: 163.0
    10/31:

Success: Clearly I declared maintenance too early and am still losing at a slow and steady rate. There is still more subcutaneous fat around my belly and thighs to lose, so why not keep going in an easy, no pressure way. When I originally picked my "number" it was relatively arbitrary. It was a weight that I had previously achieved and felt comfortable in, but didn't realize that I had the ability to keep going, so why not keep going? Only downside is that the size 10 clothing I bought is starting to get a little loose. :)

Struggles: Not really a struggle, but this was the last week of weekday rowing until spring. I'll still be able to row on Sundays. That just means more running instead. Still super busy, but I still managed to fit in exercise (rowing or running) every day this week. I just sacrificed family time instead. They understand. My volunteer work will end in less than 10 days and life will get less busy again,
