I would think that if you ate something your body can not break down, that it would be bad for you.0

That's completely irrelevant to the general public...
I'm unsure what you came into this thread to discuss?
We were discussing how shakeology is a sad-excuse for a protein powder that is SUPER expensive (since it's sold by a pyramid scheme) and tastes bad. The whole discussion was people having to add a ton of stuff to even make it palateable.0 -
I ordered it on repeat shipments to help out my friend who had just become a Beachbody coach and to start me on a healthier diet. 6 months and over $600 in credit card debt later, I put a stop to it. To be honest, I only spend $100 to $150 at the grocery store each month so to spend over $100 per month on just breakfast/snacks doesn't make financial sense. They only had Chocolate when I started and introduced the Tropical soon after, but I can't have that one because I am allergic to bananas. I like the taste and tend to mix it with lowfat milk or almond milk. I have not tried vanilla.
I didn't see any changes in my body as a result of drinking it, except that it does make me feel full. I tried to do one of her challenges and found that the diet they recommended wasn't enough calories to keep my brain functioning properly. Each person is different and has to create a diet that works for them.
For the cost, and without any noticeable changes in my body, fat-wise or health-wise, it just isn't worth it. I'd rather find something cheaper to replace the occasional meal if, like today, I just can't bear the idea of another bowl of oatmeal or another egg. For that though, I'm sure there is a less expensive alternative. I will not be ordering more when I finish what I have. I WILL be paying off that credit card debt for awhile though.0 -
Lol, and how many of the 70 ingredients are in known efficacious dosages? And you do know it's not even all natural, right?
I heart you for saying "efficacious". Shawing.0 -
Given that sucralose hasn't been in use for very long, it's long term effects are unknown. Some studies are now showing that it's unsafe:

Something made in a lab that is only a couple atoms or molecules away from chlorine gas isn't something I want to consume. Stevia, from a plant, is much safer. Or just use real sugar in moderation.0 -
How about some people add stuff to it for variety? How many people add fruit and other things to OTHER types of shakes mixes for a little variety?0

I can't stand the after taste! Does anyone else have this problem?? I mixed the chocolate flavor with coconut milk and a little coffee. Admittedly, the shake did it's job as a meal replacement (I wasn't hungry for a good four hours after drinking half of it) but I couldn't even finish the damn thing cuz of the aftertaste.
Anyone else?
You might have to make it icy cold in order to disguise the aftertaste.. Try making it very icy cold.0
