Recipe directions

Sadly, it can’t be done.
If you import a recipe from a website it will also import the directions but there is no way to input directions on recipes you enter yourself.0 -
When you create a recipe, find one on the internet that is close and then alter the ingredients and or the amounts. The imported recipe will let you go back to the original recipe and then you will have a better idea of your instructions. Hope that helps.0

I put hints, like name it “bean casserole - 375 for 45 minutes”
Or “protein angel cake-fold in beaten egg whites, 350-30”

I keep a small book for recipes that I love or do a screenshot then print them out.0

Sounds like MFP users have found or developed work arounds for the lack of good programming... come on MFP get the App program working correctly!0

The programming is fine. Yeah, there's some bugs that come up from time to time, but staff always fixes them. If you find one, submit a support ticket.
Guess what? The recipe feature here really isn't a place to develop entire recipes. It's a way to conveniently log something you already know how to cook without having to enter all of the ingredients each time. It's actually a pretty neat thing. You just enter them once. For example, I have a recipe for buttermilk cornbread. I don't actually even have to look at it on MFP. I have been making it for 30 years. I know how to make it. I might tweak it from time to time, but I know if I make a batch of cornbread, I can eat one piece and then just simply log one piece of buttermilk cornbread without having to enter 1/30 of the amount of each ingredient I use.
If that isn't of interest to you, then don't use it.5
