Here's the 24 hour challenge thread for DECEMBER. Let's do it again!! And welcome to any newcomers!
The goal is to accomplish at least 24 hours of exercise during the month.(MORE IS GREAT) Any type of activity that you would log in your exercise diary counts (both cardio and strength training) ~ walking, running, paddling, biking, swimming, gardening, weight training, dancing, HIIT, aerobics, elliptical, rowing, circuit training, stretching, etc. You get the idea.
For you BEASTS out there (you know who you are), if you want to do more, just post your personal goal that is over the baseline challenge goal.
And for anyone who wants to join part of the way through, just post a comparable goal to finish out the month (for example, joining half way through, post a goal of 12 hours).
There is no group for this and no private messages needed. No fancy spreadsheets either, just report your running totals here in the thread.
Happy Exercising!!

Last month I just left this challenge and it felt tough. This month I am having a target of 50 km running mileage, combining that with walking hopefully will add up 24 hours. So here I am taking up this challenge for December!
1/12/20 Walking 25 min

Hey everybody! New to MFP (again) - I used to use it a while ago, but haven't in a long time. I'm hoping to try and meet the 24 hours goal! Some activities I like to do are walking, yoga, tennis, and kayaking - hoping the times will add up

Hi everyone, I need something like this to shake up my routine with winter coming. As my outside walking is paused and indoor workouts become the norm, a time challenge seems like a smart idea to get me moving intentionally in December. Today I did a 30 minute walk but will go bigger for tomorrow!

Sorry about my confusing "moon" post above. That was from my phone and was not supposed to land here. I wondered where it went. Oops.

Another 90 minutes today, all inside cause I wussed out from walking outside 🤣
The first 60 minutes was a dance aerobics party to holiday music while I laundered and then I had a few hours of recovery and knocked out Another brisk 30 minutes of walking with some festive TV going!

1 hour OUTSIDE walking with the pup first thing this morning. Feeling pretty accomplished about getting outside cause bundling up to get out there and move was a struggle for me this week

Now I'm going to be the 2 posts in a row on the same day girl who feels inspired seeing all of you working so hard, and knowing I needed a little more calorie burn after the dog walk ... so I followed that dog walk up with another hour of LIGHT jogging followed by a good long stretch session so I don't regret the choice to jog/run tomorrow morning. I used to be a runner but I'm having a harder time as I get older and I think my body needs slower distance and more stretching while the muscles are warm. If I'm hobbling for the next few days I might not check in again til next week
