Success/Struggles: Weight was good again this week. My hip is feeling better and I am running again. I am taking it kind of easy though and I have reduced my mileage from what it was. I got out for a "long" run today. It was just 6.5 miles, but it felt good and it was a beautiful day. I am planning to enjoy the holiday and not worry too much about what I eat. We'll see how the scale responds next weekend, but since I am at the low end of my range I'm not concerned about it.Â

I don’t know where this morning’s spike came from – my weight has been 48.5 or less for two weeks now. However, I expect it will be short-lived and anyway, I’m at the bottom of my maintenance range so no worries.
We are lucky to be in an area denoted “tier 2” so we can eat out and go shopping and meet one or two others outdoors. I met with my daughter and her kids today at a garden centre for an hour or two. But January isn’t looking good.

Struggle: Got really busy and missed logging and my exercises for a few days. There was stress too and ended up having wine each evening. Then that made it difficult to get to sleep.

After maintaining for a while at 75 kg, I may adjust my maintenance weight down to 72 kg (+/- 2.5), but I want to reach 75kg and maintain for a few months before making that decision.
Comment on this week:
I had one weigh-in at 75.2kg this week, which is tantalisingly close to my 75kg goal! If it were not for Christmas between now and my next weigh-in, I would say that I would have a chance of reaching (as in weighing-in at) my goal weight by the end of the year. As it is, it seems a little unlikely, but I really think that I should get there in January.1 -

I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Successes/Struggles: Well, I made my goal of staying under 150 until the end of the year. 2020 was an interesting year to choose to maintain my weight, but I did it! My averages have been below 150 for more than a year, I only missed 2 Sunday weigh ins all year and never saw even close to 153 on the scale. Even though 2020 brought many changes and uncertainties, I surprised myself. Most of the year I spent under my maintenance range. I'm calling that success!

Success of the week: Made the best batch of whole wheat buttermilk biscuits I've made in a long, long time. Experimented with sourdough and made a nice, sour batch of baguettes with crispy crust. The starter came when I tried to proof some really OLD yeast, and it smelled like butyric acid and I just fed it and let it grow for a week. Now I'm hooked.
Struggle of the week: Biscuits, sourdough baguettes, and fresh whole wheat caraway rye. Good stuff but.... Come on 2021!2 -

I had a very quiet Christmas and it’s looking like a very quiet start to 2021. We are in “tier 3” now so very limited socialising, cafes and restaurants take-away only, etc etc.

I weighed in at 75.0kg two days ago, much to my surprise. Given our Christmas celebrations, I am please that I have bascialyl maintained this week. I am going to continue eating at a deficit until my monthly average weight is coming in below 75.5kg, but that should be next month.

I haven't run for 2 weeks Must remedy that. Get caught in a vicious circle of being depressed because I don't run so I don't run.
Been doing my physio exercises more, though.
