What's the best thing you've eaten recently?

I'll start: roasted sheet pan chicken thighs with greek seasoning + roasted garlic and thyme in the drippings... drool!

Every afternoon for months- including at this very moment:
    1 serving cottage cheese
1 serving frozen cherries and blueberries
30gr strawberry or blueberry sweet balsamic
    8gr Grape Nuts

It’s super sweet, it’s satisfying, it’s creamy, it’s crunchy, it’s bowl licking good, and I always regret when the last berry is gone.

ooooo that does sound good. depends on the cottage cheese brand tho imo

Tonight, I had a sushi bowl that was AMAZING.

It had green tea infused brown rice with red cabbage, cucumber, carrot, vegan beef slices, sesame seeds, gochujang sauce, almonds, and nori.

A couple months ago I went to Outback and had pork medallions with grilled pineapple, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The pork was basted in some kind of tangy sauce and the whole plate was incredibly satisfying. I've been thinking about it ever since and plan to go have that same meal for my birthday celebration next weekend.

I had a navel orange today for the first time in months.

I was struck by how sweet and orange-y it was. Heaven hidden inside a peel.

Will be putting oranges back in regular rotation. Don’t know why I stopped buying them.

I just had a Vegan Gluten Free chocolate chip cookie infused with CBD- it was a gift, sample from a store in Sarasota Florida that sells CBD. I have been using CBD a few years for SLE Lupus and other things, I never tried this one. Needless to say it was very good so far :)

Whole trout that I smoked in my Weber charcoal grill and pernil (a Puerto Rican pork butt recipe) that I smoked in my Weber propane grill.

Both were/are delicious. Killed the trout in just a few days. Ate it w/cream cheese on bagles (salmon style) and used it in 2 "light" pasta dishes. Just smoked the 8# pork butt a couple of days ago and have hardly made a dent in it yet but I'm working on it.

Raining currently. So, I'm going to bake some spare ribs in the oven tomorrow.

I eat a lot of fruit and veggies too but it's obvious that I am NOT a vegetarian or vegan. LOL! ;)

Double chocolate dessert hummus from Aldi. Basically garbonzo beans with cocoa and a bit of sugar. I out it on a graham cracker with a bit of lite non dairy topping. It's delicious!

Homemade pizza I made when we had company. I made 2 large pizzas. So hard to resist the leftovers, but company ate a lot and I sent some home with them.

Today's breakfast: oatmeal (2/3 cup, uncooked) with a baked 'n spiced apple. I mixed in oat milk (1/2 cup) and lactose-free Greek yogurt (1/2 cup) then it was all topped with chopped walnuts (1 tbsp) and a sprinkling of brown sugar (01/2 tsp).

It's a lot of oatmeal once cooked so I get to nibble on this all day 😋

    Does drink count?
Frothed some milk with tiny bit of instant cheesecake pudding, then added coffee. Starbucks got nothing on me.

    Several things come to mind..

When I was up in Detroit, it was the hummus from the middle eastern restaurants, and also the Botanas (basically loaded nachos) at one of the restaurants from Mexicantown.
Back here at home, its the saag paneer with cumin rice I've been making most weeks. I eat it nearly every afternoon for lunch.
