Dear Stretchaterians, have you ever noticed that you are more bendy to one side than the other and that we are not created perfectly symetrical? yeah, me neither, ha ha

for real though, please comment and share what you've discovered in your stretchtilion journey

  • Absolutely. My left side is much less flexible than my right side.

Of course. Every one has a stronger or favored side, which contributes to uneven tightness(or flexibility) in the body.

Sure, that was true even before the scar tissue. With it, extra true.

Everything (pretty much) is asymmetric. I can balance better on one leg than the other, the dominant arm is a little stronger, etc.

Absolutely. In fact, a major objective of yoga is to balance both sides. As one of my favorite instructors puts it,”eventually, you want to forget which was your dominant side.”

Yep. My left side is my “good” side. I work my right side harder to help foster a greater range of motion and movement.
