I just stopped logging and reading, I'm finding it really hard to get in the right headspace to do this.
I've had a spell with lots of pain, so stopped noting my back exercises as I couldn't manage them every day. Maybe next month I'll do them every day1
Had another setback with reopening my business, government have put the day back 5 weeks. It's unsettling, and I feel bad for my guests, who have to decide whether to rearrange or cancel.

I made myself step on the scales this morning and was amazed that my weight was the same. At least I don't have extra to lose!

We've had a few sunny days and it really lifts my spirits and makes me want to be outside more. I was planning to tidy the garden but I see the birds are lifting bits for their nests, so will leave it a while. Looking forward to summer.

I'll ease myself back in gently, I couldn't sleep last night and I'm so tired today. Very pleased to say that I received a Covid vaccine yesterday, though I doubt that has anything to do with my insomnia!

    JFT Thursday 18th

    Walk
Collect car from garage (second walk)
    Do some admin
    No snacking after 7pm

    Lose 21lbs in 2021

@litteblackskirt ~ It must be so unsettling for holiday/leisure businesses to have things so up in the air. At least it’s good news about your jab. 🫂

@TerriRichardson112 it definitely is unsettling! Both for myself trying to plan reopening, and also for guests waiting to see if they can have their holiday or not. I read that some large agencies are not returning deposits, but I have told the smaller agency I use to be guided by what the guests want to do. Anyone who wants to cancel will have their money returned, I would not feel right not doing this.

    :)

super busy day .. we did silk screening almost all day. This morning my back is killing me! And .. tomorrow is when 5 cubic yards of compost get dropped off. It has been raining all week ... but I finally will have 4 dry days to work in the yard. I just hope its not too muddy!
Being busy is really helping me this time to not eat at nite... because I take my ipad, and lay down to watch youtube videos ... away from the kitchen!

Didn't post goals yesterday, but I actually got a lot done in a sort of piecemeal fashion. I've been getting hung up on what I think I should do versus what I can realistically accomplish. I'm also finding it really hard to stay focused on doing one thing at a time. So for today, I'm just going to wing it and see what I get done again.

    @Bex953172 Happy belated birthday!!!

@TerriRichardson112 Love your photos. You look great (even bundled up in your coat)!

    Recap 3/17 W ~ happy hump day!

    4) Continue to clear email backlog / verify & update CPE log / print SS EE sheet / finalize FA-PA folder / organize for GA-IT follow-up / organize for GA-IT APG rewrite / email PRO s/s / pack for work at home = all done!
    5) 7:00 Lent service / prep overnight oats / declutter 15 min. / one other chore = 34
    6) Meditation / UNPLUG 9:00 / FLOSS / RETAINERS / VOLTAREN / 7:00 alarm (work at home) yay! all done

    JFT 3/18 R
    1) X-train in basement

Strong winds today with gusts of 45-50 mph & wind advisory until 7 p.m. Makes dog so unhappy. Glad we walked last night and gave me the opportunity to x-train in basement this morning. Sunny & temp is 36F right now so at least we have that.

    2021 Goals:
    1) Weight 150#
    2) Plan meals most days & prelog meals/snacks whenever possible on MFP
    3) Post weekly weigh-in on JFT for accountability. Saturday a.m. is my "official" weigh-in day, and I peek occasionally other days. My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale.
    4) Take measurements & log on MFP every month end ~ remember this year! ~ 1.31.21 ~ 2.28.21
    5) Exercise 5-6x per week (minimum 4x) ~ mostly walking but include weights/circuit & other x-training

    7) Be considerate and loving to hubby and have fun together ~ excellent goal last year that should be repeated
    8) Make efforts to keep in touch with parents, siblings and friends (most live in other towns or states) ~ had this goal in 2020 and how ironic
    9) Declutter bedroom, home office and basement ~ made good progress in 2020 & want to keep it up
Word for 2021: Gratitude ~ be mindful of & appreciate my many blessings

    JFT Wednesday

    - Work from home 😄
    - Work on laundry😄
    - 5K Steps😄
    - Bike ride😄
    - Log food😄

    Have a great day.

Yesterday was pretty good. It’s the first St Patrick’s Day since 1992 that has had more positives than negatives. My bike ride was rough, but better than not doing it. Today I’m taking a rest day mostly because it’s storming and I have a sick kid at home. Also postponing date night until tomorrow. Just not up for it.

Making V some veggie soup to have for dinner.

    Happy belated birthday Bex!

    JFT Thursday

    - Work from home
    - Log food
    - Take care of V
    - Dinner in

    - Water Challenge ❌No and I'm not even close 😂
    - Log all food✔️
    - Exercise✔️
    - Watch some TEDTalks on YouTube ❌Didn't get a chance tbh, spent most the morning dawdling and then spent the afternoon cleaning, cooking, bathing the kids and story time

Walking the dog was part of my exercise today. It was only 20 mins and I had to pick him up around smashed glass (from a bus stop that I saw a kid smash the day before) some drainage workers were nearby and asked if I needed a hand and I was like nope and just scooped up Biggie and he's not exactly small lmao

But I then fancied doing a workout, just a 10 minute abs one.
5 minutes in... To my horror... I am no longer able to do a sit up, when the F did that happen?! I've lost weight too but I'm just so badly out of shape.

I swear there are some of you on here that may have more lbs to lose than I do but I can bet on anything that you'd be more physically fit than me
Anyway, rather than feeling unmotivated... That's my new goal! To do sit ups lmao

Today started out a disaster. Everything I touched just fell apart. So I took my paperwork hour this morning to get myself together. Walk through the house and everything and organize a full to do list for the next few days. I then chipped a few things off of the list just to show I could do something right lol. It put me in a much better headspace. I am off tomorrow just for some balance, and I'm hoping to get a few errands and house chores done. Went for a walk/run today and my stamina is definitely coming up! I am able to sloth jog about 5 of my 30 minute walk.

    JFT Thursday:
    80 oz water ✅
    stay in the green ✅
meet all serving recommendations for 5 food groups ✅
    30 minutes exercise ✅
    screens off 8:30 ✅
track food, exercise, water and post on JFT ✅

    JFT Friday:
    80 oz water
    stay in the green
meet all serving recommendations for 5 food groups
    30 minutes exercise
    screens off 8:30
track food, exercise, water and post on JFT

@TerriRichardson112 Thank you for the faith!
@littleblackskirt What a mix of events! 5 weeks seems so long, and I hope it will go by quickly for you.
@beachwalker99 I struggle with this too! I need to embroider something that reminds me 1) you can’t do it all and 2) everything takes longer than you think it will
    @pridesabtch great streak!
@bex95123 I have a goal of being able to do a few situps fully, and a few pushups fully. I had to search how to do adaptations of both because I am so weak/out of shape from the last year. You are not alone!

@bex953172 - I understand about the unfit part. I had to stand on one leg and raise the other out to the side in physio a few weeks ago and couldn't support myself on the one leg or get the other one raised anymore than a few inches off the ground. It was very discouraging that day, but has given me a renewed purpose to get active and fit again.

Woke up this morning to sunny sky & very light wind ~ such an improvement over yesterday. Since temp was below freezing & forecast is for high temp of 50F, decided to wait until after hubby leaves for work in the afternoon to walk dog. I am tired of wearing my winter coat on early walks. Will be nice to wear a spring jacket instead. Made the mistake of telling dog this morning we will walk today (yesterday we skipped & I did x-training due to strong winds) but later. Now dog keeps following me around and just waiting. LOL

Yesterday I had my one week after surgery eye exam. Recovery is going well. Vision is 20/20, first time since I was a kid! Have to use cheaters for now to read. Another eye exam in one month, then I will get reading glasses. So exciting to see the world without cataracts & cloudy vision. Everything is so clear, bright & colorful. Thanks be to God! P.S. Now I can see cobwebs & dust I didn't know were there. LOL

    weekly weigh-in 2021 -- every friday

    Name: Joan
    5'11"
    69 yrs old

    SW: 195
    1st goal: 185
    2nd goal: 180
    Ultimate goal: 170-175

Word for the year 2021: Consistency

    My weight history:
    SW Year 2017: 217
    SW Year 2018: 195.5
SW Year 2019 : 206 -- met my goal weight of 178 on December, 2019
    SW Year 2020: 182.6 -- gained 15 pounds through the pandemic :s
    SW Year 2021:195

    Goals for 2021:
These are the healthy habits I would like to do in 2021:
    1. Lose 25 pounds to get to my ultimate goal of 170, and then learn how to maintain it.
    2. To be better with planning my meals each week
    3. to get up in the morning, and have a rough idea of what I plan to eat the rest of the day.
    4. To stop mindless eating. To learn how to eat to live, not live to eat.
    5. To make drinking water a regular habit.. and drink 8+ glasses of water a day
    6. To curb and stop nitetime snacking for good.

Weekly weigh-in. I plan on weighing every friday
    SW Friday, Jan 1st: 195.6
    SW: Feb 5: 191.8
    SW: Mar 5: 193

    Friday, Jan 8: 194.4 -1.2
Jan 15: 194.6. +.2 I was down to 193.4 2 days ago .. but this reflects 2 days of mindless eating.
    Jan 22: 191.4 -3.2 5 out of 7 days were good ...
Jan 29: 194.2 -- this is what happens when I don't track, give into stress and emotional eating. But ... My word for the year is consistency... that means consistently also recording my weight .. and being accountable. So its a new week.. again.
Feb 5: 191.8 -- trying to get back on track with controlled nite time eating
Feb 12: 194.3 --- I don't know why, but I can do good for a week, only to blow it the next week. I think the pandemic, the cold dreary weather is leading me to just overeat.
Feb 19: 194 --- a very small loss, due to 4 days of overeating granola bars and Kind bars.
Feb 26: 193 -- 5 out of 7 days I did OK, especially with nite time snacking.

Mar 5: 193 -- stayed the same, but had 2 days of eating icecream and peeps
Mar 12: 192.6. Started challenge of the rest of the month NO nite time eating at all.
Mar 19: 190.4 -- 5 out of 7 days NO nite time eating. Goal next week ... 6 our of 7 day no nite time eating, 8+ glasses water @ day.

    2. NO nite time snacking -- and I mean NOTHING. -- Busy day, and skipped lunch. Had popcorn in the evening... but only had 3 cups
    2. Red Cup Challenge --- 8+ c water

Decided to push my compost delivery back a week. Not only are we swamped with work, but we have been getting so much rain. So really hoping next week things can dry out a little. It will be delivered on thursday .. but saturday we are getting our 2nd shot. All the more reason that next week I'll have to work fast to get it done incase I can't do much on saturday. But so many daffodils and things are coming up, so I need to get it down!
But this week has been good for me food-wise. I think partially because we have been so busy, but I have been changing things in the evening to try and break the snacking habit.. like laying down if I am tired.. even if only for 15 minutes. Taking things downstairs away from the kitchen. Getting on the computer. And .. now I have a new carpet in my office ... so I want to keep it clean!
