@rheddmobile Sorry your hip's hurting! I hope it is nothing serious and feels better soon. I hope it isn't coming a thunderstorm during the race tomorrow. That could be dangerous and would make me a no show. I hope you are able to run the course on Monday.

It was a cloudy, misty day today. Not one that I wanted to walk in. So, I opted for the treadmill. I really wasn't feeling energetic, so gave myself permission to stop at one mile, but once I got going, I felt better. I did a ladder again today, from 3.3 mph to 3.6 mph and back down, spending 5 minutes at each level.

@ContraryMaryMary were you planning on doing around the Bays this morning?! I'm absolutely gutted for you!

NZ is once again in light lockdown due to that shall not be named. And Auckland is even worse off. Not full lock down but fairly strict. I got lucky last week with my HM happening between lockdowns

Fortunately not. Too many people for me at the best of times! I’m just hoping we’re back to level one for my half on the 14th.

Amen. Here's hoping people actually listen this time.

I'm surprised they did it for a week!

@martaindale Sorry you had a bad run. Those days happen to all of us. Don't let it take away your confidence for your race. Normally, after I've had a bad run day the next one is fantastic!

Yes @martaindale the next run will be MUCH better. Typically when I have a terrible run, the next one seems to always be a redemption run 😉

@rheddmobile hope your hip is okay! Take it easy.

@martaindale sorry about your bad run. It happens! Shake it off, as they've said already I bet your next one will feel really good. I would take it really easy before your HM too so you feel fresh and strong on race day.

February is done with 214.3km. It’s been a good month with one half completed and only missed scheduled run (ballet did something to my left hamstring tendon!).
Next month has another half (lockdown permitting) but more of a focus on building up to my main event, the Waterfront Half in April.

Whoop whoop I'm so excited about Waterfront! I got an air bnb 10 min walk to the start line, going to be good.

As long as people behave *shakes head sadly*

I finished out the month just squeaking past my 100 mile goal this morning. It was an okay run, but ended up having to run alone after my friend had to cancel so I had trouble motivating to get out the door. It was 30 F which didn't feel too bad but there was definitely black ice on the roads so I had to take it slowly in many spots.
