I too put on a little when I quit smoking for the first 6 months. At 6 months I had my last craving and went back to the weight I was over the next 6 months...on its own. I think it was because I was less tired and did more. I could taste my food more so needed less salt and sauces.
It's been 24 years and at 53 I run 5k every year for the " run for the cure." I'm not a runner and its hard for me to do but I think its nothing to what people with the illness do. Right now quitting smoking is taking up a lot of your thinking time but it will go a way...for ever. I stopped cold turkey. ( I looked at how much it was costing me... a trip every year lol ) My sister tried everything over the years. Patch, pills, e smokes...She is now on her 4 month with cold turkey and the wait gain has stopped. I proud of her and you. IT is hard but worth the effort 100%.0
