    Look at Van Gogh.

    Why even spend 40 years developing artistic ability when you can sell a banana taped to a wall for 120k?

    Ah, modern art at its finest. The fact that two "versions" of the banana sold previously for that price tag and that part of the performance was someone coming up and eating said 120K banana is just... well, that's the state of modern art.

    Take me back to signed toilets and everyday objects as art, please.

    I assumed this thread would encompass something other than concerns about toilets, bananas, and what others earn.

    I assumed that knights and samurai fought each other with swords, but it seems that's not true (at least after a certain point). Their armor became too good, and they primarily used bludgeoning weapons, polearms, and there was a lot of ranged warfare. But there were lances and calvary charges.

    I also assumed that guns ended the whole armor idea, at least by WWI when you had real rifles and machine guns. But, there were still French cavalry troops wearing metal breastplates and there were still swords around.

    So vacuuming doesn't suck? That's objectively wrong, every time I vacuum, it sucks. :neutral:
    :D:D I guess it depends on POV. I actually like cleaning and have one of the best vaccums ever. Had it since 1989 and just replace wheels and fan occasionally.

    Kirby?

    @ninerbuff
    Yep. I actually sold them from 1986 to 1998. I was awarded one from the factory for being one of the top salesmen in the company in 1989. Instead of a serial number, my last name is imprinted on the machine in it's place. Also, at one time I used to help my brother who was a maintence/repair for the distributor I worked for on repairing them. So I know what to replace when something isn't working right. And a fan is like $10 and wheels about $20. I also keep it clean so it performs at it's best. I clean out the brushroll and pull all the hair out of the brushroll bearings once a month and vacuum out the inner bag every 3 months or so.

    Oh, I also had assumed that everyone understands basic addition and subtraction on here. Apparently that's not a given.

    I always assumed that talent would be enough to get a person someplace.

    Not unless your talent is bullsharting, polictics or sports.
    You forgot porn.
