That's a tough question... Do you like your tuna salad dry or wet? The typical tuna salad they serve at subway is pretty darn wet. The wetter it is the more mayo is in it, and mayo isn't very calorie friendly.
Slightly off topic..
The PC Line of Flavored Mayo's are almost a god send. The flavor profile is so strong and rich, that you almost need to use a small amount to avoid over powering your meal.
I particularly like PC Horseradish Mayo and PC Roasted Garlic Mayo.... Just a tiny bit truly goes a long way and they are absolutely fantastic.
Yes, for any combination of two or more foods, the most accurate way to log is to weigh each individual component and then log them that way. Since mayo is a calorie-dense food, you'll probably want to minimize the times you're eyeballing or roughly estimating it.
I think you knew as you typed the question out. The number of calories is exactly equal to the number of calories in the tuna plus the calories in the mayo. If it's tuna in water, you don't care that much about the calories. But the mayo has to be measured pretty carefully with a tablespoon.
Not that there's anything wrong with mayo, but some day try it with a half tablespoon of avocado oil, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, thyme, celery, garlic, and fresh parsley. Hoo boy, that's good!
Then try it with light mayo, curry powder, cayenne, apple, and raisins. Also great.

What does it say on the label of whatever brand of mayo you used for the amount of it you ate?
