Weight loss supplements

Hey guys. 19 year old male 174 cm 91 kg ..eating 1860 calories and burning extra 500 through walking. Are there any weight loss supplements that can boost my weight loss and have no effects?

No, they don’t exist. If they did then there would be no overweight people. You’re not that heavy. Patience. The weight will come off. Going too fast will likely result in loss of muscles anyway5

Even if there were some magic formula, at your height and weight, if I were you I wouldn't take them. You dont need them. Sticking to your cal intake target and exercise should be enough. There are probably countless number of pills and potions on the market that will promise you everything, all lies I reckon. If anything they will harm you.

Just keep creating a deficit, but make sure you eat enough, and it will work. Time and patience is the key.2

I think the best thing to do is make sure you are getting adequate nutrients (so maybe a multivitamin or a specific vitamin supplement for something you may lack, but consult a doctor first to make sure it's a good idea for you), adequate sleep, and adequate hydration (probably not as much as many online "experts" say, but still important.) Weight loss can be stressful on the body, especially if it's rapid, so I'd try to minimize those effects as much as possible. I now have a suspicion that the failure of my other weight loss attempts was rooted in trying to will myself to continue suffering through undereating and its effects, and eventually I just had nothing left, so I gave up. This time I'm doing much better and I'm not miserable, and it feels much more like something I can do forever. That's the kind of weight loss I want - the kind that sticks.0

You're a little heavy if you don't have much muscle. I'm the same height at 190lbs right now and look a little fat in the waistline.
You DON'T any of those weight loss supplements. You just need PATIENCE and consistency along with a good program that you'll stick to for life.

If there were such a supplement, that developer would surpass Bezos and Gates in the $$$ department. That should tell you something right there.
When we hospitalized my mom, I went through her desk to make sure nothing was pending (family business). To my shock, I found dozens of bottles of diet supplements. I had absolutely no idea she’d been taking them, and am certain those are what contributed to some of her medical problems. I tooo two large grocery bags to her hospital room and gave them to her doctor.
Mom was morbidly obese. I can sincerely tell you, they didn’t do a damn thing for her.
Don’t wreck your body looking for a quick fix to an imaginary problem.
As noted before, you aren’t overweight. Why not channel all your energy and focus- which you clearly have- into recomp. You’ll soon be fighting those gals (or guys, since it’s a new world) off with a stick.5 -
For the past 5 months I've been eating every 3 hours, 5 small, high protein and low fat foods with no more than 110 calories each. Then I make a lean protein for dinner along with 3 servings of veggies. I drink a minimum of 64oz water per day. I have lost 25 lbs since doing this. My calorie intake has been an average of 850-1000 per day.
I also have not been exercising during this time, but now I need to because I need to tone up
As far as supplements, just make sure your using a good multivitamin & omegas. The key is fueling your body every 3 hours to help stabilize your blood sugar, and making sure your keeping your body hydrated.0 -
What you want as a "weight loss supplement", given your age, gender, a weight barely into the obese BMI zone, and already eating at what's probably a ridiculously huge calorie deficit (Sailrabbit says your TDEE without the walking would be at least 3200, and maybe up to 3700), is:
* Strength training. Find a program here:

Some of those are bodyweight programs, don't require a gym or special equipment, so you can do them at home or most anywhere.
* A realistic idea of what weight loss really is and means. Unless you're in a weight-related health crisis, fast loss is a bad plan. It loses you more than minimum useful (and attractive) muscle, increases health risks, and is generally counter-productive in other ways. At your weight, something less than a kg per week, maybe 740g - that would be about the maximum you should be looking to lose per week. Get to a healthy weight, and along the way learn how to stay at a healthy weight for the rest of your life, which - speaking here as someone who was too stupid to do that and paid the consequences - is a really excellent goal.
* Patience. That will be a useful life skill in other contexts, too - career, finances, education, more - so worth the working on.
While admitting I'm a mysteriously good li'l ol' calorie burner, I'm going to point out that I've been slowly losing weight at 1850 calories *plus* all my exercise calories . . . at 165cm, 57kg, female, age 65. There is no way on this planet that a much bigger 19 y/o male needs to be eating that little to lose weight at a pretty fast (but healthy) clip.
Eat a reasonable number of calories, keep walking, add some strength training, get some decent nutrition (especially protein, but also enough fats and plenty veggies/fruits), and put in some patient work. That's a better on-ramp to a healthy adult life.
If this seems harsh, I apologize. Just try to think of me as your frank, salty, but caring old internet granny, because I'm surely old enough, and I really would like to see you thrive, even though you're a stranger.
