Reflection: Same as last week, really. It's interesting to read other people's reflections on increases in weight in the summer when it is hot. Maybe that is what is happening for me too. I have been exercising about the same in the mornings but not getting in my walks in the afternoons/evenings. I also re-engaged with my chocolate habit... I have stayed within my wider mainteance range, although I am out of my narrower maintenance range. I am also much more toned than I was six months ago when I weighed in at almost exactly what I weighed in at today. So that feels like progress, even if I would prefer the scale to be showing 1.5 kg or so less.
I shan't be checking in here now until the end of August as I am going on retreat for a month, with no internet, no wine, and probably no scales. See you all in the last week of August!

@charmmeth Enjoy the retreat and see you at the end of August! Good points about it being progress when you're more toned even if at a slightly higher weight than you'd prefer. That's definitely success and an accomplishment! That's where I'm at right now too - with lifting heavy-ish, that's where a bit of my water weight is coming from too, but I'm also more toned with improved measurements than before even at a bit higher weight than my preference. Of course, would still prefer to be back in the middle of my range, but I'm not stressing about it.4

I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.
I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

Successes/struggles of the week: Still struggling with water weight retention as it has been really hot around here. Walking around in mid-90 degree weather (that feels like 105+!), but still managing to exceed my steps goal by quite a bit a couple of days. I'm wondering if there is another component to my water retention over the past couple of months, as I've been put on a corticosteroid for a health condition since right before the jump in weight, and have read of others on steroid type medications experiencing water weight retention as well. With upping my activity level, my weight should not be increasing by basically a pound each month even with the heat (in previous years, the water weight increase over the summer months was not this fast).1 -

Disconnected my garmin tracker from MFP so I can focus on hitting one consistent calorie target. For now I have it set to 2260 and will adjust according to trend weight over time. Trend weight is going down. Would love for it to be towards the low end by the Chicago Marathon.

Successes/Struggles: I got my 4 video exercises in this week. That has been a struggle for me the last few weeks. But I didn't get my walks in every day and did not do so well tracking my food. Weight is stable but I do all those things for general health not just weight. Tracking food keeps my focus on healthy food as much as keeping track of calories.2 -

Successes: My trend is going down as is my average wt. I caught it. My “No higher than weight” is 160. It took focusing on previous habits I was letting slide a bit. Now, I just need to do the same in August!
Struggles: I sometimes get tired of having to focus on all of this, but I remind myself of all the things I can do more easily now & my vastly improved health markers.
I’m still deciding if I need to eat less.

Successes/struggles of the week: Ending the month quite a bit higher than I'd like, though this week was a weird one. My weight jumped all the way up to 115 lbs, but then I dropped down by 1.2 lbs the next day, then another .8 lbs the next, for a 2 lb difference in a couple of days. I've been trying to drink a lot of water to help get rid of some of the water weight retention issues, and that has been helping, but it is difficult to drink so much water consistently.2 -
