My usual goal, 16-20 AF for the month. This is sustainable long term for me.
Sunday July 18 - AF - Planned cocktails with 3 different sets of people tomorrow. I will keep the first 2 to 1/2 ounce each because they are both in Kimberley where I have a small job first. The last stop is walking distance in Cranbrook, but I won't go hog wild.
Monday July 19 - Drinks - I didn't have any with my first two sets of friends, they had like one, and didn't bat an eye when I said that I would have water. My third stop (back in town) are heavier drinkers, I had a few, but made them myself so made them weak
Tuesday July 20 - AF - Thursday will be my day off, that usually signals drinks for me the night before, but I am kind of behind this month on AF days, so will try to resist.
Wednesday July 21 - Drinks - 2 drinks. Squeaking toward 16AF this month!
Thursday July 22 - AF - It was supposed to be my day off, but I was offered an evening shift and work again in the morning, so thought the better of having drinks.
Rolling total - 11 AF days out of 22 days5 -
13 Days AF in July.
I had another go at trying Kombucha and this one was much more palatable.

HELLO EVERYONE
Thelma & Louise have returned!
Oh I can't even begin to tell you the adventures we had! All positive and new. My DS and I (she is the grey haired one in the picture, been that color since her 30's) traveled OH, KY, WV, VA, NC, PA and MD over 6 days on the road then 3 days at her home in OH before I took a flight home this am. I am wore out but smiling.
I also stayed AF the entire trip! I will post some pictures later right now I am going to finish unpacking.
@MissMay, did I ever see some new and cool 'pours' and did not take a picture of the ones I want to try LOL typical of me.
Ok more after some rest
Loved the pic of the dynamic duo, and love that you were so in the moment that you didn't think to snap a pic of the new and cool stuff you experienced. Way to live in the moment! Sounds like a great experience!7 -
Sat - Tues was AF

-
2 glasses of wine from the first bottle opened this evening and then I switched to water.
Cheers! Hope that you have a wonderful weekend.7 -
Evening all.
Did I post yesterday? This is a new habit with me. Asking myself "Did I.........?"
Still headed for a full blown AF end to the last day in July. My streak in now 6 days straight. (My last streak was a 9 days)
Going to make this one at least a 14 day'r.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Makes it a wee bit easier to know this doesn't it? I said the same thing in my very first post on this thread January 2018.
WELCOME 🤗6 -
Was wonderful to be home! A good night's sleep, and 2 drinks. Tonight will be a repeat then the rest of the month will stay AF. DH wants to take a day trip tomorrow to the other side of the Mt's. It should be fun.
Oh, I am trying Walmart's grocery online thing and pick up my first set of groceries tomorrow morning. I know a few people who do this but it just seems weird to have someone else pick out my produce.
Being Af while on my road trip just proved to me that my daily drinking was more habit/routine. I have avoided trips like this for decades for fear I could or would go someplace and not have access to alcohol. Now I feel that I missed out on so much with family and friends.
This thread has made it so much easier to work towards being AF so @MissMay thank you for your dedication of starting the new thread each month, adding resources as you or others find for you, and being so honest with your own struggles.9 -
2 cans of Michelob Ultra at the party tonight and lots of water.
July totals
AF - 11
Drinks - 12
Should easily have more AF days than drink days to end the month. Have a great weekend ! I hope everyone meets whatever their goals are.7 -

8 more days left in July. Where does the time fly!
So the Kevita might be Kombucha but there is no alcohol listed on the bottle. Interesting since I thought all Kombucha had at least a trace. Am I missing something?3 -
Seems alcohol in kombucha is at 0.5% not too significant.
5 days AF in a row, may as well finish off this month STRONG.
Rains and floods day 2 over here. We got alerts to stay inside and not go out unless we're asked to evacuate, it's that crazy. Crappy but the plants need it and hopefully it helps our drought and reduces our risk for new forest fires. And the air is cool enough to open the windows in July! 73 degrees now and AC is off5 -
Looked up more info to try to figure out what I was drinking!
- KeVita products are considered non-alcoholic drinks (less than 0.5% alcohol ABV). Additionally, KeVita Sparkling Probiotic Drinks are coffee/tea free.
- You can drink about 8 to 12 ounces of KeVita Kombucha every day. More than 16 ounces a day is an excess.

Grimaldi's Pizza. I decided before going that I would have an AF evening since I had drinks the last 2 nights. DH had the 9oz $21 per glass Pertinace Nebbiolo (very good but overpriced)
The prices have gone up for both the pizza and wine but the restaurant was packed! The most people I've seen in one place in a very long time.
July accountability: 9/24 days AF
Alcohol: 15 days (35 drinks)
Goal: Limit 1-2 glasses per day; 12-16 AF days per month. Aim to drink no more than 2 nights in a row.3 -
2 glasses of wine
July totals
AF - 11
Drinks - 13
Only possible drinking day planned is Tuesday after golf.. Should easily have more AF days than drink days to end the month. Have a great weekend ! I hope everyone meets whatever their goals are.
@globalhiker I am glad we are finally getting rain in Mesa. I hope you don't have any flooding at your home. Stay safe!4 -
Well another day "I" chose to have alcohol. However, I am going about it very methodically (I think? Maybe not). It is odd when I was with my sister who rarely drinks I was ok not drinking. Home....not so much, will power after my trip has gone in the trash. But since I have adopted not to drink during the week ( with the exception of my homeward bound extra night) I am going to focus on August and less on weekend drinking to I choose either Friday or Saturday to enjoy and adult beverage. I hope this will be a success for me.
btw I missed posting while I was gone but my tablet and fingers are not compatible LOL9 -

Friday July 23 - AF - Until Sunday after my split shift when I am planning to have a couple.
Saturday July 24 - Drinks. Change of schedule, off tomorrow. So smoky here, fires all around. This doesn't usually happen until later in August (BC is like all trees). I live in a small city with fire breaks all around, but the smoke and particulate are so thick. Day off tomorrow but I don't think that I can go outside to work in the yard. I tried 2 days in a row, but threw up in the grass on an empty stomach, eyes are burning, headache. You would think that this would not be a prescription to have a couple of drinks, but I am. Not used to staying inside in any of the 4 seasons, can't be sure that I won't at least try to get some work done outside tomorrow on my day off. If I do I will deal with the consequences but not have to go to work feeling *kitten*. Still planning on hitting my 16 - even though I have mostly been 21-23AF each month this year so far.
Rolling total - 12 AF days out of 24 days6 -
14 Days AF for July. It feels like it should be more but recording here doesn't lie so its a good reality check.
Nice 2 hour ride first thing this morning and now heading to the beach with my wife and daughter for a swim as the day heats up. Not many days per year Swimming in the Baltic is anything less than "bracing" 😄

Day 6 AF done. Day 4 of rain I think, losing track. I'm liking it.
No fire smoke here but I feel for you @dawnbgethealthy. Can you book a short trip, get in the car and drive far out of it for a few days?
All good here @GiveHerGrace. Did you read about 30,000 lightning strikes were reported in our county just the other day? We are super lucky it was raining when it all happened otherwise the forest would've fried.
Nice hotel @Stockholm_Andy, looks like a former palace! And you seem to have nice weather too!5
