What irks you today?

It’s a more than an irk. A public servant who did not serve because it was almost four o’clock, leaving a member of a vulnerable population at risk.3

This evening when it cooled I went out very briefly and yanked out some vine (not poison ivy) around my deck.
When I came in about 20min later I started itching.
My feet, ankles and the tops of my hands.
I lost my mind briefly while I scratched as hard as I could without breaking the skin for at least an hour.
Miserable.
It stopped and looks completely normal now.
I thought it was going to itch until I scratched the skin off. 🥺
Does it look like this? Also, I use tecnu poison ivy scrub after I'm out pulling weeds or picking berries where those vines hang out. It works great.1 -

Just as I’ve been finally feeling over my ex and yall know I’m talking to someone new…. Ya he popped up at work. Another coworker? Yes but this one is the one who told me to apply here.
But it’s really not that dramatic tbh. I feel kinda numb. I always played it up more dramatic in my mind.
Oh well! The earth continues to turn and I’ve got things to do. New people to kiss4 -

Went to the store for a specific item...while there, opted to get several other items I knew we needed...got home from the store with a bagful of stuff, minus the one item I originally went to get.5

How my daughter thinks I'm a taxi driver 😅2

The pressure to dole out a solid compliment when your friend suddenly decides to show you a picture of their bf/gf. My default response is "he/she has kind eyes"1

Aren’t we all - it’s such a great day when that can drive !! My middle daughter is dragging her feet on that part but gets her permit in a couple weeks so fingers crossed she’ll be driving alone by February ish1 -

The conversation actually started with them saying, "I hate when you're right but..."
It was. ripe. for. the. taking. but I had to leave it dangling there

When my daughter sits down in my car for a ride to school, she immediately tells me... every... single... time... to drive like her brother, not "like you." Hmm... her brother in his 3 years of driving has twice the speeding tickets and traffic citations I have in 30 years, wonderful role model to look up to. Especially since his driving gets her to school all of 60 seconds faster than me.5 -

My anxiety irks me today. And the fact that said anxiety is increasing the physical pain my stomach is causing me.3

The fact my manager has not shown up for any of the four training sessions I’ve scheduled for them (at their request). No notice of cancellation, no apology, and no attempt to reschedule. However, it has made me realize I made the right choice to leave.
ETA: the bigger irk is that I’ve let it irk me. 😅5 -
