I had a perfectly delicious dish of leftover salmon from Friday's dinner, but out of respect for whiners complaining about break room microwave smells I couldn't bring the leftovers as a work lunch, instead eating the protein-rich food at home and having a PBJ for lunch.

Do we work at the same office? Yet apparently burning microwave popcorn and eating raw onion (or that's what it smells like) is just fine.

When I pull over to allow emergency vehicles to pass, and *kittens* use it as a prime opportunity to pass me

Wow! I have never had that happen to me—it would beyond irk me!

Not sure what's going on and what I'm allergic to now but I had a smoothie bowl from a new place and now I'm full of hives.

    Could possibly be cross contamination?

Yes, it's my fault, I should have mentioned my food allergies.

Not your fault! Cross contamination happens even under the best of circumstances.

High school formal dances. Why do girls have to have a different dress that they will likely never wear again - but my son can wear some chucks with slacks and nice shirt and good to go - I’m just salty cuz I gotta take my daughter to get a homecoming dress and I’m a cheap *kitten* 🤷‍♂️

Sorry sweetie. Hope it gets better quickly. ❤️

Thank you 🤗 I'll be fine. I just hope it's cleared out by tomorrow because I have a big work day.

I’m sure it’s WAY easier for the boys. I’ve only had boys for this so far. But….they grow quickly. I’ve had to buy it all, maybe not every time but, fairly often. I think for Homecoming for my freshman he’ll just need a new shirt and tie and the shoes and pants can be worn from May. I don’t know if I look forward to dress shopping when my girl is old enough. Good luck, you’re a good dad!

It could be far worse than just buying a dress. We "needed" matching clutch, earrings and necklace, tiara 😐 shoes, new underwear, professional hair, makeup and nails.. and to top it off a white limo which thankfully 3 of her friends chipped in for. Man, it was a huge production. She did look like a princess though, stunning.. and I look back on those pictures and see how radiant and happy she was it was worth it. 🙂

This is how we did it for my proms. And I really enjoyed shopping with my mom. Even the part where she saw the hickey and I passed it off as a stretch mark

Starbucks along my route to the job this morning - no mobile ordering, so stopped to go inside. Inside closed - only drive-thru open. At least 15 cars in line. Not worth the wait. 😑

I think I’ve shared this before. Check out the matching earrings and necklace. No tiara unfortunately. But you can’t see are the elbow length fingerless lace gloves😂

Out of the ladies, your hair is the only one that I wouldn't have regretted 😂

Those girls had no foresight at all 🤣

It was 1988 in Queens NY for context

What irks me is that I've just remembered my semi-traumatic moment from my first high school dance - I was sitting on the bleachers while my friend was dancing with this guy, and a boy approached me, started to ask me if I wanted to dance, but then when I turned to him he said, "oh, I thought you were someone else - nevermind," and then walked away.

    I could have cried lol
What the *kitten*? Even if he thought you were someone else you would think that embarrassment at his mistake would at least make him give you a dance. I hope he’s learned better in the intervening years and I hope he cringes every time he thinks of it

Gee, thanks everybody, for making me remember the fact I never attended any of my school homecoming or proms, on account of getting turned down by every girl I worked up the courage to ask, and therefore had no willpower left to go stag.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't have a prom date either (at my school there was only one prom when you graduated) -- so I just went with a group of other friends who were single
I think a lot of people went in friend groups. I was just a dork with a pastor’s kid boyfriend.

Were you the dump-er or the dump-ee?

It was mutual. I was extremely uncomfortable around his friends and the unfamiliar surroundings and was probably acting a little mean and at the end of the night when we should’ve been making hickeys we just broke up
