Just getting started

How do I best use this thing? Does anyone meal plan these day?

    Welcome to the MFP Community. :) What are your goals? For me, the goal is weight loss. I use MFP as a tool to help me track my weight over time, to monitor what I eat, and to get inspired by others.

    I don't meal plan, but when I am logging foods I tend to pre-log things I eat almost every day. Some people like to meal plan and pre-log, it's really up to you as to what will help you be successful. I logged all the time when I first started. Now I have a good idea of what I consume so I don't log as often.
