Hopefully, knowing that, I will be able to do better on my eating. Today the well company comes back. Of course, it breaks down when they are NOT here, instead of when they are. This time, I hope they can figure out from the patterns what is going on. Praying it’s adjustments and not new pump or well. I am starving already (which happens after a day of eating with all caution to the wind). It won’t be easy, but I’ve got to be creative today and make it a good day.

The idea of pulling pants with zippers up without unzipping is the ultimate in inspiration! I’m still wearing the elastic waist, especially with shorts and capris for summer, but I have a closet full of pants that will fit nicely 10 pounds from now and they have zippers. I need them for the upcoming winter! Working on it. Thanks for the reminder!
    Day 70 – 09/21 …..185.8……(Trend weight 187.1) Still trending down, even with an uptick on the scale. I kept diet perfect yesterday but my activity level was very low with a house full of workers and rain. More rain today but I will try to get a bit creative later tonight if I’m not too tired after everyone leaves.
    Day 71 – 09/22 …..187.6…… My trend weight is tied to my fitbit. Because I had to restart/reset my fitbit my trend weight is totally skewed right now. I put in my original starting weight on fitbit so the stats would be correct and that throws the current off. It will be a few weeks before I can start accurately listing my trend weight again. Last night I ended up eating one cup of soup and 6 cookies with 8 oz of milk after I logged out of MFP. The amount of increase in weight is ridiculous but it is what it is I guess. I’m going for more movement today which will have to be outside, but it’s cold here in northern Michigan today. Travel tomorrow.

    Day 72 – 09/23 …..187.6……Strange that I forgot to type my weight in yesterday during my post but it was the same as today. Meals were good, snacks were not. Activity level was way too low. Today I travel so the scale will not be good tomorrow (Friday). I will have to spend my 3rd weekend in a row beating it back down. No problem, I can do it when I 100% apply myself. Very cold and rainy today so it’s a perfect day for a long car ride. My son is going with me. It is always nice to get him out & about. With his Autism he would rather just stay in place with no changes most of the time. A nice meal is always a good bribe to get him out socializing. I will try to order carefully for myself but I’m not making any promises. It’s such a treat to be in a city with so many restaurants and choices! Gotta get my head on straight before I leave. Those restaurants aren’t going anywhere. Right now, I need to shed some more weight and get my blood glucose levels in a better place before surgery or they will cancel it. I was warned on my zoom pre-op meeting yesterday. I hope that will help keep me in a reasonable headspace today as I look at the menu in the booth.
    Day 73 – 09/24.….188.8…… An expected uptick of 1.2 today after travel. Let’s hope there isn’t more lingering that will show up in the coming days. I hit Walmart while out of town yesterday and brought home NO JUNK. Not even for guests or grandchildren. Score! Today will be a good day.
    Day 74 – 09/25 …..188.8……I had a lovely low calorie portioned dinner last night at 8:00 PM after everyone left. Then I had a lovely dinner at 1:00 AM about 2 hours before I went to bed. I started to feel my sugar drop and it wasn’t good. I didn’t go into a frenzy and I stayed away from sugar and “bad food”, but I did not need the other half that I’d prepped for tonight. Ridiculous!
    Day 75 – 09/26 …..188.8……I am struggling with portion control though I am choosing my foods wisely. I just can’t seem to get enough food. Too many travel and disrupted days in a row has brought back my old habits of extreme hunger and cravings. I even had the sugar drop the other night. Feels like I’m back to square one, but I’m just gonna push through. Never give in and Never give up!
    Day 76 – 09/27 …..187.6……Better.
    Day 77 – 09/28 …..188.4…………Worse…….I went on a mini binge last night after closing out my diary. Not really cravings….Just extreme hunger. The amount was okay, the choices were not. I’ve really got to teach this old dog some new tricks.
    Day 78 - 09/29 …..185.6……Finally a TMI to help the scale. Yesterday was crazy. So much frenzied work here by my workers as they try to beat bad weather. Much painting being done outside. I had no lunch (usually can’t anyway) but my dinner was at almost 1:00 AM which is late, even for a late-nighter like me. I kept it small and thoughtful. It payed off on the scale. I do need to carve in some time for my water and more movement somehow. Today I am already STARVING due to the low calorie yesterday. I have to try to keep my nose clean and plan carefully. I am thawing out some homemade chicken noodle soup that has carrots (they are smooth and taste like the broth) and celery (cooked to not crunch and NO STRINGS!). This will be my lunch. Pasta again in the noodles, but I will try to plan a dinner with some protein and a snack with some healthy fats (like walnuts). I’m almost 10 pounds below my starting weight this round. Hang on tight Donna! You can do this!
    Day 79 – 09/30 …..186.2……I think this is a normal fluctuation after an almost 3 pound drop overnight yesterday. I did go over a bit with 3 pcs. Of sugar-free dark chocolate. Very little movement yesterday as I spent most of my day standing in front of doors staining and having my hand at some painting. I’ll be doing the same today. I’ve just been too tired at night to do much after the handymen leave (one of them at 9:00 pm every night). I’m down 0.6 on this challenge so at least it’s not a gain, but I should be able to do better and will try in October to improve upon that.

    Day 80 – 10/01 …..187.0……Oops. Typed my weight wrong yesterday. It was 186.2. Corrected now. Up again today after a full-on binge. It was ridiculous. May be traveling tomorrow too so that won’t help. I’ve got to make today count!
    Day 81 – 10/02 …..185.0……Got back on track yesterday with carefully planned meals and snacks. I burned 2900 calories overall for the day with over 16,000 steps working outside painting and staining again. The work itself was not a big calorie burner, it was going up & down my slope of a yard into the house and back that really gave me the burn, the flights of stairs documented on fitbit and the steps. Today will be opposite. Lots of car sitting/driving. Restaurant meal(s). I will try to choose carefully remembering that whatever damage I do, I will have to work hard to get rid of in the upcoming week. Maybe that will help my choices as I look over the menu. Because of my eating issues, sometimes it is hard to find the right things, but I will be thoughtful.
    Day 82 – 10/03 …..187.0……There’s the expected uptick. Now, to work it back down!
    Day 83 – 10/04 …..187.2…… Some unexpected travel yesterday which took me away for about 4 hours late afternoon until evening. However, the shorter trip did not blow my dietary goals. I just lacked movement and as much water as I would normally drink. I hope today goes smoother.
    Day 84 – 10/05 …..186.8…… I ended up eating into the red on my mfp log after I logged it out. An extra 410 calories but it was healthy small meal and I was hungry. My overall fitbit calorie expenditure minus my food stayed in the green and so I saw a small loss which is better than nothing! I will aim to spread my meals out better today. I ate too early yesterday, thus the nighttime hunger.

    This is my 7th round on this thread: Round 1 loss 3.7, Round 2 loss 2.7, Round 3 loss 8.9, Round 4 loss 4.0
    Round 5 loss 4.6. Round 6 - gain of 0.08
    24.8 pound loss over 601 days.
    I always reach for a 10 pound loss each 100 even though that hasn't happened.
    I keep track of calories left over at the end of each day, in the Green on the MFP tracker. My aim is 500+ average calories in the Green each day (deficit) - this would lead to a 5lb loss over 100 days.

    Day 1 7/14:132.2 - Wish that I had weighed this yesterday instead of 133.9 to end the previous 100! 312 in the Green
    Day 2 7/15: 132.2 - Usually my weight jumps around quite around a bit, nice to see that I didn't somehow gain. 489 in the Green
    Day 3 7/16: 133.1 - Had Beef Palak last night 803 in the Green
    Day 4 7/17: 132.9 - 390 in the Green

    Calorie Deficit (Green on the Tracker): 1994. Divided by the 4 days is 798.5, very close to my goal of having a 500 calories deficit each day (3500 calories in a pound, so shooting to lose 1 pound per week)

    Day 6: Mon, 7/19: 133.9 - I didn't do anything to gain. I will keep plugging along though. I am working out of town today and have scheduled 2 visits with separate groups up there once I finish my work, and then another back here. Would have been nice to have a cushion since there will be drinks and snacks at all 3. 334 in the Green
    Day 7: Tues, 7/20: 132.8 - I have an evening shift today and a split shift tomorrow. I don't like eating so late, but I eat so many vegetables with my dinner that I don't eat before work so that I am not gassy lol. 906 in the Green
    Day 8: Wed, 7/21: 133.3 - Late dinner, as tonight will be because of my work schedule. I really do know that eating late is a killer to my weight loss, but it is what it is. 391 in the Green
    Day 9: Thurs, 7/22: 132.8 - Bouncing around as usual. Of course i would rather be bouncing around in the 120s, hopefully eventually! 917 in the Green
    Day 10: Fri, 7/23: 132.7 - Late dinner last night again due to work schedule. 313 in the Green
    Day 11: Sat, 7/24: 132.1 - Tonight will be late dinner again. 389 in the Green

    Day 13 Mon 7/26: 132.4 - I got a bunch of yard work done yesterday (drop in the bucket) even though it is smoky around here. 1070 in the Green
    Day 14 Tues 7/27: 132.2 - Huge calorie burn yesterday, dance workout to warm up, HIIT with weights to follow, gardening/yard time before work and after work, plus the 300-400 that I usually burn at work running around. Back to start weight. 217 in the Green
    Day 15 Wed 7/28: 132.1 55 in the Green
    Day 16 Thurs 7/29: 134.8 - Ouch 595 in the Green
    Day 17 Fri 7/30: 134.8 - Not happy about this of course, but taking it in stride. Hopefully my 500 deficit that I aim for will average out over the week, I haven't had time for workouts because of being wrapped up trying to fix my car issues. Spent the entire day yesterday buying a new one, but still have to deal with the dead one in the retail parking lot. On evening shifts for the next couple of weeks, so eating times are a challenge for me. 325 in the Green
    Day 18 Sat 7/31: 133.8 - Down a pound since yesterday, carved out time to work out. My body will just have to get used to eating late after work. 866 in the Green

    Day 28: Tues, 8/10: 132.6 - Ended up with evening shifts after all, on top of day shifts. Burned a tonne yesterday after an unexpected shift. Didn't finish dinner until 11:30pm. 590
    Day 29: Wed, 8/11: 131.7 - Very pleased with this, but will try not to get complacent after the huge jump in weight recently. Glad to see the drop a few days after the big calorie burn. Holding off on ribs for this month so far. 407 in the Green
    Day 30: Thurs, 8/12: 132.9 - I basically only had snacks and Mojitos with a friend, no dinner. 541 in the Green

    Day 35: Tues, 8/17: 133.9 - Doing a split today, so dinner will be late. 1193 in the Green
    Day 36: Wed, 8/18: 133.1 - Crazy amount of calories burned yesterday - A nice long workout in the morning and then a double shift waitressing where I burned almost 1000 calories running around - it was busy! Had a very late dinner. Normal dinners at normal times for the next 2 at least. 51 in the Green
    Day 37: Thurs, 8/19: 134.3 - Not enough of a deficit yesterday. 567 in the Green
    Day 38: Fri, 8/20: 134.9 - Disappointed for sure. I have a get together tonight, so am not expecting much of a loss for tomorrow morning. 232 in the Green
    Day 39: Sat, 8/21: 134.3 - I know my exercise numbers, but my food numbers will be guestimates at best, lots of snacks with Mojitos - nuts, crackers, cheese etc. Like 1 ounce of cheese or 4? 10 crackers or 50? I am editing now, I went in and overestimated on the snacks. I had burned 1050 (including cutting the grass, work, a work out etc.) so did have a bit of a buffer. 201 in the RED

    6th Week Goal Weight: 131.1 - I keep plugging that one in. I was 141.1 on my birthday last year, aiming to have lost 10 pounds by September 20th.

    Day 49: Tues, 8/31: 134.7 - Late dinner last night and will be again tonight because I am working a split. I should be happy to see this drop, but am not. I really started the weight climb in July. I will have to turn it around. 1146 in the Green
    Day 50: Wed, 9/1: 134.0 - Huge calorie burn yesterday, more than I actually ate!. Double shift, workouts. August is gone and I did not even have Ribs because I am unwilling to stop fighting the battle of the bugle. Halfway mark today, and I am up almost 2 pounds from the start of the 100. Expecting a good drop tomorrow morning reflecting yesterday's huge calorie burn. 951 in the Green
    Day 51: Thurs, 9/2: 133.9 - Kind of expected a bigger drop today after cutting the grass, yardwork, workouts, work, and low calories. I haven't had Ribs since July and was thinking that I might have some tonight if my weight was down more. I get a really good discount on Indian Food at the restaurant, but I have been avoiding that as well. Had a bit of a Eureka moment talking to a friend yesterday, I lose most of my weight for the year during skating season - I burn lots of calories and keep my food pretty good year round, is it the joy that skating gives me that changes the chemistry in my body? Or is it that I love skating so much that I do it for longer than other things. Not sure, but have decided to not beat myself up that the weight isn't coming off right now. 377 in the RED
    Day 52: Fri, 9/3: 135.3 - Ribs last night. Memphis Dry Rub. Soooo yummy. I may pay for that on the scale for awhile, but it was kind of worth it. 693 in the Green
    Day 53: Sat, 9/4: 135.8 - expected to see a Ribs uptick for a couple of days, I'm okay with it. 724 in the Green

    Day 56: Tues, 9/7: 135.2 No woosh, but steadily coming down. 787 in the Green
    Day 57: Wed, 9/8: 135.1 - On split shifts yesterday and today, so late dinners. Glad to still see a small drop. 7 days to get the Ribs off? 1226 in the Green
    Day 58: Thurs, 9/9: 134.1 - That is a nice drop. Yesterday's numbers are not sustainable (burned more than I ate!), but glad that they made a difference. 1060 in the Green
    Day 59: Fri, 9/10: 133.7 - Planned indulgences tonight after work. 390 in the Green
    Day 60: Sat, 9/11: 134.1 - I had some food from Spice Hut, the Indian restaurant where I work. Mutter Paneer. It was really good, I ate half. This is only the second time that I have had food from there since April. With all of the activity that I had, I have skimmed 2.2 pounds off of the beginning of this week. 12 in the Green

    Day 63: Tues, 9/14: 134.7 - Okay. Scrambling to get a few things done before I leave at 3pm on Thursday. Tomatoes and Peppers are now covered in case of frost while I am gone. Doing extra shifts at work to allow for my upcoming time off. 927 in the Green

    Day 69: Mon, 9/20: 132.8 - My 61st birthday, so down 7.3 pounds since my 60th. I'll take it : - ) Still up above my 100 day start weight, and planning on indulging some more today. Perhaps my high output days will save me a little. 27 in the Green
    Day 70: Tues, 9/21: 134.0 - Hiked all day yesterday, hopefully that will catch up on the scale in the days to come. Driving home today. I will get a nice walk and workout in before that. I have an appointment in Cranbrook to get my silver roots dyed out - I usually do it, but am treating myself : - ) 340 in the Green
    Day 71: Wed, 9/22: 134.8 - Up 2 pounds since my birthday! Home now and will be back to work. 512 in the Green
    Day 72: Thurs, 9/23: 134.5 - My calorie burn output is so much less this week in comparison to my input. I am not going to have the 300 calories of hummus with my peppers as my work snack today. 815 in the Green
    Day 73: Fri, 9/24: 134.1 - Skipping the hummus helped, and that in turn helped my activity output number. The fresh peppers from my garden were completely delicious even without the hummus. 26 days to get back to my start weight. 518 in the Green

    Day 78: Wed, 9/29: 134.8 - Looks like my yesterday's post didn't "take". These late dinners are taking a toll, but it is my work schedule which doesn't look like it will change. I am working splits until we replace the girl that moved away. Calorie input is on point, calorie output is on point. Looks like time of day of eating does make a difference. Skating starts mid-October here, but I may be working during public skating. The ice on the lakes doesn't freeze until well into December. Kind of resigning myself into the mid 130s for now. 776 in the Green.

The idea of pulling pants with zippers up without unzipping is the ultimate in inspiration! I’m still wearing the elastic waist, especially with shorts and capris for summer, but I have a closet full of pants that will fit nicely 10 pounds from now and they have zippers. I need them for the upcoming winter! Working on it. Thanks for the reminder!
    Day 70 – 09/21 …..185.8……(Trend weight 187.1) Still trending down, even with an uptick on the scale. I kept diet perfect yesterday but my activity level was very low with a house full of workers and rain. More rain today but I will try to get a bit creative later tonight if I’m not too tired after everyone leaves.
    Day 71 – 09/22 …..187.6…… My trend weight is tied to my fitbit. Because I had to restart/reset my fitbit my trend weight is totally skewed right now. I put in my original starting weight on fitbit so the stats would be correct and that throws the current off. It will be a few weeks before I can start accurately listing my trend weight again. Last night I ended up eating one cup of soup and 6 cookies with 8 oz of milk after I logged out of MFP. The amount of increase in weight is ridiculous but it is what it is I guess. I’m going for more movement today which will have to be outside, but it’s cold here in northern Michigan today. Travel tomorrow.

    Day 72 – 09/23 …..187.6……Strange that I forgot to type my weight in yesterday during my post but it was the same as today. Meals were good, snacks were not. Activity level was way too low. Today I travel so the scale will not be good tomorrow (Friday). I will have to spend my 3rd weekend in a row beating it back down. No problem, I can do it when I 100% apply myself. Very cold and rainy today so it’s a perfect day for a long car ride. My son is going with me. It is always nice to get him out & about. With his Autism he would rather just stay in place with no changes most of the time. A nice meal is always a good bribe to get him out socializing. I will try to order carefully for myself but I’m not making any promises. It’s such a treat to be in a city with so many restaurants and choices! Gotta get my head on straight before I leave. Those restaurants aren’t going anywhere. Right now, I need to shed some more weight and get my blood glucose levels in a better place before surgery or they will cancel it. I was warned on my zoom pre-op meeting yesterday. I hope that will help keep me in a reasonable headspace today as I look at the menu in the booth.
    Day 73 – 09/24.….188.8…… An expected uptick of 1.2 today after travel. Let’s hope there isn’t more lingering that will show up in the coming days. I hit Walmart while out of town yesterday and brought home NO JUNK. Not even for guests or grandchildren. Score! Today will be a good day.
    Day 74 – 09/25 …..188.8……I had a lovely low calorie portioned dinner last night at 8:00 PM after everyone left. Then I had a lovely dinner at 1:00 AM about 2 hours before I went to bed. I started to feel my sugar drop and it wasn’t good. I didn’t go into a frenzy and I stayed away from sugar and “bad food”, but I did not need the other half that I’d prepped for tonight. Ridiculous!
    Day 75 – 09/26 …..188.8……I am struggling with portion control though I am choosing my foods wisely. I just can’t seem to get enough food. Too many travel and disrupted days in a row has brought back my old habits of extreme hunger and cravings. I even had the sugar drop the other night. Feels like I’m back to square one, but I’m just gonna push through. Never give in and Never give up!

    Day 77 – 09/28 …..188.4…………Worse…….I went on a mini binge last night after closing out my diary. Not really cravings….Just extreme hunger. The amount was okay, the choices were not. I’ve really got to teach this old dog some new tricks.
    Day 78 - 09/29 …..185.6……Finally a TMI to help the scale. Yesterday was crazy. So much frenzied work here by my workers as they try to beat bad weather. Much painting being done outside. I had no lunch (usually can’t anyway) but my dinner was at almost 1:00 AM which is late, even for a late-nighter like me. I kept it small and thoughtful. It payed off on the scale. I do need to carve in some time for my water and more movement somehow. Today I am already STARVING due to the low calorie yesterday. I have to try to keep my nose clean and plan carefully. I am thawing out some homemade chicken noodle soup that has carrots (they are smooth and taste like the broth) and celery (cooked to not crunch and NO STRINGS!). This will be my lunch. Pasta again in the noodles, but I will try to plan a dinner with some protein and a snack with some healthy fats (like walnuts). I’m almost 10 pounds below my starting weight this round. Hang on tight Donna! You can do this!
    Day 79 – 09/30 …..186.2……I think this is a normal fluctuation after an almost 3 pound drop overnight yesterday. I did go over a bit with 3 pcs. Of sugar-free dark chocolate. Very little movement yesterday as I spent most of my day standing in front of doors staining and having my hand at some painting. I’ll be doing the same today. I’ve just been too tired at night to do much after the handymen leave (one of them at 9:00 pm every night). I’m down 0.6 on this challenge so at least it’s not a gain, but I should be able to do better and will try in October to improve upon that.

    Day 80 – 10/01 …..187.0……Oops. Typed my weight wrong yesterday. It was 186.2. Corrected now. Up again today after a full-on binge. It was ridiculous. May be traveling tomorrow too so that won’t help. I’ve got to make today count!
    Day 81 – 10/02 …..185.0……Got back on track yesterday with carefully planned meals and snacks. I burned 2900 calories overall for the day with over 16,000 steps working outside painting and staining again. The work itself was not a big calorie burner, it was going up & down my slope of a yard into the house and back that really gave me the burn, the flights of stairs documented on fitbit and the steps. Today will be opposite. Lots of car sitting/driving. Restaurant meal(s). I will try to choose carefully remembering that whatever damage I do, I will have to work hard to get rid of in the upcoming week. Maybe that will help my choices as I look over the menu. Because of my eating issues, sometimes it is hard to find the right things, but I will be thoughtful.
    Day 82 – 10/03 …..187.0……There’s the expected uptick. Now, to work it back down!
    Day 83 – 10/04 …..187.2…… Some unexpected travel yesterday which took me away for about 4 hours late afternoon until evening. However, the shorter trip did not blow my dietary goals. I just lacked movement and as much water as I would normally drink. I hope today goes smoother.
    Day 84 – 10/05 …..186.8…… I ended up eating into the red on my mfp log after I logged it out. An extra 410 calories but it was healthy small meal and I was hungry. My overall fitbit calorie expenditure minus my food stayed in the green and so I saw a small loss which is better than nothing! I will aim to spread my meals out better today. I ate too early yesterday, thus the nighttime hunger.
    Day 85 – 10/06 …..184.6….. Finally my TMI body functions worked properly yesterday so it was reflected on the scale today. It’s nice to know where I really am without false inflated numbers from no TMI or from water retention after a high sodium choice. Not too bad. Now it’s time to think about getting closer to 180.

    Touching base while I'm on the road trip. I was doing really well with movement until the last couple of days. Our planned hikes were waylaid by a flat tire Tuesday morning that needed to be fixed (wonderful that a repair place was just 1/4 mile from our hotel when we woke up to find that). Then it rained after getting it fixed so we weren't able to get out for the hike at Luke Lea Heights Scenic Overlook.
    Yesterday we drove through 2 state parks where we planned to hike ... they were both lovely but it was pouring rain all day plus a tornado warnings. Let's just say the driving in the mountains with the twists and turns, the rain, the tornado warning, winds made for a rough long day in the car. But we loved the inside time spent talking to our friends at Calfkiller Brewery, Red Silo Brewery, then Pour House Bistro.
    Looks like more rain today as we continue to travel east.

    In other words ... there is a lot of eating and little planned exercise. Not a good combination for weight loss or maintenance.

    This is my 7th round on this thread: Round 1 loss 3.7, Round 2 loss 2.7, Round 3 loss 8.9, Round 4 loss 4.0

    24.8 pound loss over 601 days.
    I always reach for a 10 pound loss each 100 even though that hasn't happened.
    I keep track of calories left over at the end of each day, in the Green on the MFP tracker. My aim is 500+ average calories in the Green each day (deficit) - this would lead to a 5lb loss over 100 days.

    Day 1 7/14:132.2 - Wish that I had weighed this yesterday instead of 133.9 to end the previous 100! 312 in the Green
    Day 2 7/15: 132.2 - Usually my weight jumps around quite around a bit, nice to see that I didn't somehow gain. 489 in the Green
    Day 3 7/16: 133.1 - Had Beef Palak last night 803 in the Green
    Day 4 7/17: 132.9 - 390 in the Green

    Day 6: Mon, 7/19: 133.9 - I didn't do anything to gain. I will keep plugging along though. I am working out of town today and have scheduled 2 visits with separate groups up there once I finish my work, and then another back here. Would have been nice to have a cushion since there will be drinks and snacks at all 3. 334 in the Green
    Day 7: Tues, 7/20: 132.8 - I have an evening shift today and a split shift tomorrow. I don't like eating so late, but I eat so many vegetables with my dinner that I don't eat before work so that I am not gassy lol. 906 in the Green
    Day 8: Wed, 7/21: 133.3 - Late dinner, as tonight will be because of my work schedule. I really do know that eating late is a killer to my weight loss, but it is what it is. 391 in the Green

    Day 14 Tues 7/27: 132.2 - Huge calorie burn yesterday, dance workout to warm up, HIIT with weights to follow, gardening/yard time before work and after work, plus the 300-400 that I usually burn at work running around. Back to start weight. 217 in the Green
    Day 15 Wed 7/28: 132.1 55 in the Green
    Day 16 Thurs 7/29: 134.8 - Ouch 595 in the Green
    Day 17 Fri 7/30: 134.8 - Not happy about this of course, but taking it in stride. Hopefully my 500 deficit that I aim for will average out over the week, I haven't had time for workouts because of being wrapped up trying to fix my car issues. Spent the entire day yesterday buying a new one, but still have to deal with the dead one in the retail parking lot. On evening shifts for the next couple of weeks, so eating times are a challenge for me. 325 in the Green
    Day 18 Sat 7/31: 133.8 - Down a pound since yesterday, carved out time to work out. My body will just have to get used to eating late after work. 866 in the Green

    Day 29: Wed, 8/11: 131.7 - Very pleased with this, but will try not to get complacent after the huge jump in weight recently. Glad to see the drop a few days after the big calorie burn. Holding off on ribs for this month so far. 407 in the Green

I am editing now, I went in and overestimated on the snacks. I had burned 1050 (including cutting the grass, work, a work out etc.) so did have a bit of a buffer. 201 in the RED

    Day 51: Thurs, 9/2: 133.9 - Kind of expected a bigger drop today after cutting the grass, yardwork, workouts, work, and low calories. I haven't had Ribs since July and was thinking that I might have some tonight if my weight was down more. I get a really good discount on Indian Food at the restaurant, but I have been avoiding that as well. Had a bit of a Eureka moment talking to a friend yesterday, I lose most of my weight for the year during skating season - I burn lots of calories and keep my food pretty good year round, is it the joy that skating gives me that changes the chemistry in my body? Or is it that I love skating so much that I do it for longer than other things. Not sure, but have decided to not beat myself up that the weight isn't coming off right now. 377 in the RED

    Day 70: Tues, 9/21: 134.0 - Hiked all day yesterday, hopefully that will catch up on the scale in the days to come. Driving home today. I will get a nice walk and workout in before that.     Day 72: Thurs, 9/23: 134.5 - My calorie burn output is so much less this week in comparison to my input. I am not going to have the 300 calories of hummus with my peppers as my work snack today. 815 in the Green
    Day 73: Fri, 9/24: 134.1 - Skipping the hummus helped, and that in turn helped my activity output number. The fresh peppers from my garden were completely delicious even without the hummus. 26 days to get back to my start weight. 518 in the Green

    Day 78: Wed, 9/29: 134.8 - Looks like my yesterday's post didn't "take". These late dinners are taking a toll, but it is my work schedule which doesn't look like it will change. I am working splits until we replace the girl that moved away. Calorie input is on point, calorie output is on point. Looks like time of day of eating does make a difference. Skating starts mid-October here, but I may be working during public skating. The ice on the lakes doesn't freeze until well into December. Hopefully, knowing that, I will be able to do better on my eating. Today the well company comes back. Of course, it breaks down when they are NOT here, instead of when they are. This time, I hope they can figure out from the patterns what is going on. Praying it’s adjustments and not new pump or well. I am starving already (which happens after a day of eating with all caution to the wind). It won’t be easy, but I’ve got to be creative today and make it a good day.

The idea of pulling pants with zippers up without unzipping is the ultimate in inspiration! I’m still wearing the elastic waist, especially with shorts and capris for summer, but I have a closet full of pants that will fit nicely 10 pounds from now and they have zippers. I need them for the upcoming winter! Working on it. Thanks for the reminder!
    Day 70 – 09/21 …..185.8……(Trend weight 187.1) Still trending down, even with an uptick on the scale. I kept diet perfect yesterday but my activity level was very low with a house full of workers and rain. More rain today but I will try to get a bit creative later tonight if I’m not too tired after everyone leaves.
    Day 71 – 09/22 …..187.6…… My trend weight is tied to my fitbit. Because I had to restart/reset my fitbit my trend weight is totally skewed right now. I put in my original starting weight on fitbit so the stats would be correct and that throws the current off. It will be a few weeks before I can start accurately listing my trend weight again. Last night I ended up eating one cup of soup and 6 cookies with 8 oz of milk after I logged out of MFP. The amount of increase in weight is ridiculous but it is what it is I guess. I’m going for more movement today which will have to be outside, but it’s cold here in northern Michigan today. Travel tomorrow.

    Day 72 – 09/23 …..187.6……Strange that I forgot to type my weight in yesterday during my post but it was the same as today. Meals were good, snacks were not. Activity level was way too low. Today I travel so the scale will not be good tomorrow (Friday). I will have to spend my 3rd weekend in a row beating it back down. No problem, I can do it when I 100% apply myself. Very cold and rainy today so it’s a perfect day for a long car ride. My son is going with me. It is always nice to get him out & about. With his Autism he would rather just stay in place with no changes most of the time. A nice meal is always a good bribe to get him out socializing. I will try to order carefully for myself but I’m not making any promises. It’s such a treat to be in a city with so many restaurants and choices! Gotta get my head on straight before I leave. Those restaurants aren’t going anywhere. Right now, I need to shed some more weight and get my blood glucose levels in a better place before surgery or they will cancel it. I was warned on my zoom pre-op meeting yesterday. I hope that will help keep me in a reasonable headspace today as I look at the menu in the booth.
    Day 73 – 09/24.….188.8…… An expected uptick of 1.2 today after travel. Let’s hope there isn’t more lingering that will show up in the coming days. I hit Walmart while out of town yesterday and brought home NO JUNK. Not even for guests or grandchildren. Score! Today will be a good day.
    Day 74 – 09/25 …..188.8……I had a lovely low calorie portioned dinner last night at 8:00 PM after everyone left. Then I had a lovely dinner at 1:00 AM about 2 hours before I went to bed. I started to feel my sugar drop and it wasn’t good. I didn’t go into a frenzy and I stayed away from sugar and “bad food”, but I did not need the other half that I’d prepped for tonight. Ridiculous!
    Day 75 – 09/26 …..188.8……I am struggling with portion control though I am choosing my foods wisely. I just can’t seem to get enough food. Too many travel and disrupted days in a row has brought back my old habits of extreme hunger and cravings. I even had the sugar drop the other night. Feels like I’m back to square one, but I’m just gonna push through. Never give in and Never give up!
    Day 76 – 09/27 …..187.6……Better.
    Day 77 – 09/28 …..188.4…………Worse…….I went on a mini binge last night after closing out my diary. Not really cravings….Just extreme hunger. The amount was okay, the choices were not. I’ve really got to teach this old dog some new tricks.
    Day 78 - 09/29 …..185.6……Finally a TMI to help the scale. Yesterday was crazy. So much frenzied work here by my workers as they try to beat bad weather. Much painting being done outside. I had no lunch (usually can’t anyway) but my dinner was at almost 1:00 AM which is late, even for a late-nighter like me. I kept it small and thoughtful. It payed off on the scale. I do need to carve in some time for my water and more movement somehow. Today I am already STARVING due to the low calorie yesterday. I have to try to keep my nose clean and plan carefully. I am thawing out some homemade chicken noodle soup that has carrots (they are smooth and taste like the broth) and celery (cooked to not crunch and NO STRINGS!). This will be my lunch. Pasta again in the noodles, but I will try to plan a dinner with some protein and a snack with some healthy fats (like walnuts). I’m almost 10 pounds below my starting weight this round. Hang on tight Donna! You can do this!
    Day 79 – 09/30 …..186.2……I think this is a normal fluctuation after an almost 3 pound drop overnight yesterday. I did go over a bit with 3 pcs. Of sugar-free dark chocolate. Very little movement yesterday as I spent most of my day standing in front of doors staining and having my hand at some painting. I’ll be doing the same today. I’ve just been too tired at night to do much after the handymen leave (one of them at 9:00 pm every night). I’m down 0.6 on this challenge so at least it’s not a gain, but I should be able to do better and will try in October to improve upon that.

    Day 80 – 10/01 …..187.0……Oops. Typed my weight wrong yesterday. It was 186.2. Corrected now. Up again today after a full-on binge. It was ridiculous. May be traveling tomorrow too so that won’t help. I’ve got to make today count!
    Day 81 – 10/02 …..185.0……Got back on track yesterday with carefully planned meals and snacks. I burned 2900 calories overall for the day with over 16,000 steps working outside painting and staining again. The work itself was not a big calorie burner, it was going up & down my slope of a yard into the house and back that really gave me the burn, the flights of stairs documented on fitbit and the steps. Today will be opposite. Lots of car sitting/driving. Restaurant meal(s). I will try to choose carefully remembering that whatever damage I do, I will have to work hard to get rid of in the upcoming week. Maybe that will help my choices as I look over the menu. Because of my eating issues, sometimes it is hard to find the right things, but I will be thoughtful.
    Day 82 – 10/03 …..187.0……There’s the expected uptick. Now, to work it back down!
    Day 83 – 10/04 …..187.2…… Some unexpected travel yesterday which took me away for about 4 hours late afternoon until evening. However, the shorter trip did not blow my dietary goals. I just lacked movement and as much water as I would normally drink. I hope today goes smoother.
    Day 84 – 10/05 …..186.8…… I ended up eating into the red on my mfp log after I logged it out. An extra 410 calories but it was healthy small meal and I was hungry. My overall fitbit calorie expenditure minus my food stayed in the green and so I saw a small loss which is better than nothing! I will aim to spread my meals out better today. I ate too early yesterday, thus the nighttime hunger.
    Day 85 – 10/06 …..184.6….. Finally my TMI body functions worked properly yesterday so it was reflected on the scale today. It’s nice to know where I really am without false inflated numbers from no TMI or from water retention after a high sodium choice. Not too bad. Now it’s time to think about getting closer to 180.
    Day 86 – 10/07 …..184.8……A normal overnight fluctuation. I had a good day and plan on another one today. I’m down 10.4 pounds since the start of this round. I lost 12.4 in the last round (#8). I’m not going to say those are stellar performances because I know I could have done better so so so many times on choices. I also know that my exercise and movement has been INCREDIBLY stifled. But I am glad for the progress that I feel is very good considering my eating issues and my renovation (trapped inside at home) situations. Most of the time it feels like not much progress. It’s nice being able to look back at 100 days at a time and see that I’m doing something right.

The idea of pulling pants with zippers up without unzipping is the ultimate in inspiration! I’m still wearing the elastic waist, especially with shorts and capris for summer, but I have a closet full of pants that will fit nicely 10 pounds from now and they have zippers. I need them for the upcoming winter! Working on it. Thanks for the reminder!
    Day 70 – 09/21 …..185.8……(Trend weight 187.1) Still trending down, even with an uptick on the scale. I kept diet perfect yesterday but my activity level was very low with a house full of workers and rain. More rain today but I will try to get a bit creative later tonight if I’m not too tired after everyone leaves.
    Day 71 – 09/22 …..187.6…… My trend weight is tied to my fitbit. Because I had to restart/reset my fitbit my trend weight is totally skewed right now. I put in my original starting weight on fitbit so the stats would be correct and that throws the current off. It will be a few weeks before I can start accurately listing my trend weight again. Last night I ended up eating one cup of soup and 6 cookies with 8 oz of milk after I logged out of MFP. The amount of increase in weight is ridiculous but it is what it is I guess. I’m going for more movement today which will have to be outside, but it’s cold here in northern Michigan today. Travel tomorrow.

    Day 72 – 09/23 …..187.6……Strange that I forgot to type my weight in yesterday during my post but it was the same as today. Meals were good, snacks were not. Activity level was way too low. Today I travel so the scale will not be good tomorrow (Friday). I will have to spend my 3rd weekend in a row beating it back down. No problem, I can do it when I 100% apply myself. Very cold and rainy today so it’s a perfect day for a long car ride. My son is going with me. It is always nice to get him out & about. With his Autism he would rather just stay in place with no changes most of the time. A nice meal is always a good bribe to get him out socializing. I will try to order carefully for myself but I’m not making any promises. It’s such a treat to be in a city with so many restaurants and choices! Gotta get my head on straight before I leave. Those restaurants aren’t going anywhere. Right now, I need to shed some more weight and get my blood glucose levels in a better place before surgery or they will cancel it. I was warned on my zoom pre-op meeting yesterday. I hope that will help keep me in a reasonable headspace today as I look at the menu in the booth.
    Day 73 – 09/24.….188.8…… An expected uptick of 1.2 today after travel. Let’s hope there isn’t more lingering that will show up in the coming days. I hit Walmart while out of town yesterday and brought home NO JUNK. Not even for guests or grandchildren. Score! Today will be a good day.
    Day 74 – 09/25 …..188.8……I had a lovely low calorie portioned dinner last night at 8:00 PM after everyone left. Then I had a lovely dinner at 1:00 AM about 2 hours before I went to bed. I started to feel my sugar drop and it wasn’t good. I didn’t go into a frenzy and I stayed away from sugar and “bad food”, but I did not need the other half that I’d prepped for tonight. Ridiculous!
    Day 75 – 09/26 …..188.8……I am struggling with portion control though I am choosing my foods wisely. I just can’t seem to get enough food. Too many travel and disrupted days in a row has brought back my old habits of extreme hunger and cravings. I even had the sugar drop the other night. Feels like I’m back to square one, but I’m just gonna push through. Never give in and Never give up!

    Day 77 – 09/28 …..188.4…………Worse…….I went on a mini binge last night after closing out my diary. Not really cravings….Just extreme hunger. The amount was okay, the choices were not. I’ve really got to teach this old dog some new tricks.
    Day 78 - 09/29 …..185.6……Finally a TMI to help the scale. Yesterday was crazy. So much frenzied work here by my workers as they try to beat bad weather. Much painting being done outside. I had no lunch (usually can’t anyway) but my dinner was at almost 1:00 AM which is late, even for a late-nighter like me. I kept it small and thoughtful. It payed off on the scale. I do need to carve in some time for my water and more movement somehow. Today I am already STARVING due to the low calorie yesterday. I have to try to keep my nose clean and plan carefully. I am thawing out some homemade chicken noodle soup that has carrots (they are smooth and taste like the broth) and celery (cooked to not crunch and NO STRINGS!). This will be my lunch. Pasta again in the noodles, but I will try to plan a dinner with some protein and a snack with some healthy fats (like walnuts). I’m almost 10 pounds below my starting weight this round. Hang on tight Donna! You can do this!
    Day 79 – 09/30 …..186.2……I think this is a normal fluctuation after an almost 3 pound drop overnight yesterday. I did go over a bit with 3 pcs. Of sugar-free dark chocolate. Very little movement yesterday as I spent most of my day standing in front of doors staining and having my hand at some painting. I’ll be doing the same today. I’ve just been too tired at night to do much after the handymen leave (one of them at 9:00 pm every night). I’m down 0.6 on this challenge so at least it’s not a gain, but I should be able to do better and will try in October to improve upon that.

    Day 80 – 10/01 …..187.0……Oops. Typed my weight wrong yesterday. It was 186.2. Corrected now. Up again today after a full-on binge. It was ridiculous. May be traveling tomorrow too so that won’t help. I’ve got to make today count!
    Day 81 – 10/02 …..185.0……Got back on track yesterday with carefully planned meals and snacks. I burned 2900 calories overall for the day with over 16,000 steps working outside painting and staining again. The work itself was not a big calorie burner, it was going up & down my slope of a yard into the house and back that really gave me the burn, the flights of stairs documented on fitbit and the steps. Today will be opposite. Lots of car sitting/driving. Restaurant meal(s). I will try to choose carefully remembering that whatever damage I do, I will have to work hard to get rid of in the upcoming week. Maybe that will help my choices as I look over the menu. Because of my eating issues, sometimes it is hard to find the right things, but I will be thoughtful.
    Day 82 – 10/03 …..187.0……There’s the expected uptick. Now, to work it back down!
    Day 83 – 10/04 …..187.2…… Some unexpected travel yesterday which took me away for about 4 hours late afternoon until evening. However, the shorter trip did not blow my dietary goals. I just lacked movement and as much water as I would normally drink. I hope today goes smoother.
    Day 84 – 10/05 …..186.8…… I ended up eating into the red on my mfp log after I logged it out. An extra 410 calories but it was healthy small meal and I was hungry. My overall fitbit calorie expenditure minus my food stayed in the green and so I saw a small loss which is better than nothing! I will aim to spread my meals out better today. I ate too early yesterday, thus the nighttime hunger.
    Day 85 – 10/06 …..184.6….. Finally my TMI body functions worked properly yesterday so it was reflected on the scale today. It’s nice to know where I really am without false inflated numbers from no TMI or from water retention after a high sodium choice. Not too bad. Now it’s time to think about getting closer to 180.
    Day 86 – 10/07 …..184.8……A normal overnight fluctuation. I had a good day and plan on another one today. I’m down 10.4 pounds since the start of this round. I lost 12.4 in the last round (#8). I’m not going to say those are stellar performances because I know I could have done better so so so many times on choices. I also know that my exercise and movement has been INCREDIBLY stifled. But I am glad for the progress that I feel is very good considering my eating issues and my renovation (trapped inside at home) situations. Most of the time it feels like not much progress. It’s nice being able to look back at 100 days at a time and see that I’m doing something right.
    Day 87 – 10/08 …..185.6……There is absolutely no reason for such an uptick. I am thinking my body is recompensating for some recent larger drops. I stayed in the green yesterday and did not even log all the extra activity that I did. I am going to try to follow how certain food choices are affecting me (even though they keep me in the green and with good macros). Not an easy thing to do when TMI is not regular and with water retention at times. But I just want to see a pattern of something that may be helping or hurting. I plan another good day today except rain is expected all day. Very cold & damp.

    This is my 7th round on this thread: Round 1 loss 3.7, Round 2 loss 2.7, Round 3 loss 8.9, Round 4 loss 4.0

    24.8 pound loss over 601 days.
    I always reach for a 10 pound loss each 100 even though that hasn't happened.
    I keep track of calories left over at the end of each day, in the Green on the MFP tracker. My aim is 500+ average calories in the Green each day (deficit) - this would lead to a 5lb loss over 100 days.

    Day 1 7/14:132.2 - Wish that I had weighed this yesterday instead of 133.9 to end the previous 100! 312 in the Green
    Day 2 7/15: 132.2 - Usually my weight jumps around quite around a bit, nice to see that I didn't somehow gain. 489 in the Green
    Day 3 7/16: 133.1 - Had Beef Palak last night 803 in the Green
    Day 4 7/17: 132.9 - 390 in the Green

I am working out of town today and have scheduled 2 visits with separate groups up there once I finish my work, and then another back here.     Day 7: Tues, 7/20: 132.8 - I have an evening shift today and a split shift tomorrow. I don't like eating so late, but I eat so many vegetables with my dinner that I don't eat before work so that I am not gassy lol. 906 in the Green
    Day 8: Wed, 7/21: 133.3 - Late dinner, as tonight will be because of my work schedule. I really do know that eating late is a killer to my weight loss, but it is what it is. 391 in the Green

    Day 14 Tues 7/27: 132.2 - Huge calorie burn yesterday, dance workout to warm up, HIIT with weights to follow, gardening/yard time before work and after work, plus the 300-400 that I usually burn at work running around. Back to start weight. 217 in the Green

Spent the entire day yesterday buying a new one, but still have to deal with the dead one in the retail parking lot. On evening shifts for the next couple of weeks, so eating times are a challenge for me. 325 in the Green

    Day 51: Thurs, 9/2: 133.9 - Kind of expected a bigger drop today after cutting the grass, yardwork, workouts, work, and low calories. I haven't had Ribs since July and was thinking that I might have some tonight if my weight was down more. I get a really good discount on Indian Food at the restaurant, but I have been avoiding that as well. Had a bit of a Eureka moment talking to a friend yesterday, I lose most of my weight for the year during skating season - I burn lots of calories and keep my food pretty good year round, is it the joy that skating gives me that changes the chemistry in my body? Or is it that I love skating so much that I do it for longer than other things. Not sure, but have decided to not beat myself up that the weight isn't coming off right now. 377 in the RED

    Day 68: Sun, 9/19: 132.1 - I was awake way too early, I expect that my weight would be less had I not weighed at 4am. Having said that, I plan to indulge over the next few days. Today is a driving day, I will get a workout in before I hit the road. 391 in the Green
    Day 69: Mon, 9/20: 132.8 - My 61st birthday, so down 7.3 pounds since my 60th. I'll take it : - ) Still up above my 100 day start weight, and planning on indulging some more today. Perhaps my high output days will save me a little. 27 in the Green
    Day 70: Tues, 9/21: 134.0 - Hiked all day yesterday, hopefully that will catch up on the scale in the days to come. Driving home today. I will get a nice walk and workout in before that. I have an appointment in Cranbrook to get my silver roots dyed out - I usually do it, but am treating myself : - ) 340 in the Green
    Day 71: Wed, 9/22: 134.8 - Up 2 pounds since my birthday! Home now and will be back to work. 512 in the Green
    Day 72: Thurs, 9/23: 134.5 - My calorie burn output is so much less this week in comparison to my input. I am not going to have the 300 calories of hummus with my peppers as my work snack today. 815 in the Green
    Day 73: Fri, 9/24: 134.1 - Skipping the hummus helped, and that in turn helped my activity output number. The fresh peppers from my garden were completely delicious even without the hummus. 26 days to get back to my start weight. 518 in the Green
    Day 74: Sat, 9/25: 133.7 - Great active days and 1 bad day led to a gain. 405 in the Green

    Day 76: Mon, 9/27: 134.4 - Don't know why. I was getting closer to my start weight. I will try to be patient and stay "good" even though I am working splits most of the week and dinners will be late. 751 in the Green
    Day 77: Tues, 9/28: ?? 733 in the Green
    Day 78: Wed, 9/29: 134.8 - Looks like my yesterday's post didn't "take". These late dinners are taking a toll, but it is my work schedule which doesn't look like it will change. I am working splits until we replace the girl that moved away. Calorie input is on point, calorie output is on point. Looks like time of day of eating does make a difference. Skating starts mid-October here, but I may be working during public skating. The ice on the lakes doesn't freeze until well into December. Kind of resigning myself into the mid 130s for now. 776 in the Green.
    Day 79: Thurs, 9/30: 133.4 - I am doing better with my calorie deficit this week compared to last. I really don't lose weight unless I average at least a 500 deficit each day. 376 in the Green
    Day 80: Fri, 10/1: 134.4 - Kind of expected, my deficit was lower yesterday because I consumed more calories. 40 in the Green
    Day 81: Sat, 10/2: 133.9 - Day off, going to go for a hike, have a good workout, and spend most of the day in the yard getting some harvest before the temps dip below freezing in a week from now. 737 in the Green
