This is the new link.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO PERSEVERED AND LOST AND EVEN TO THOSE WHO GAINED A LITTLE.
I'm really so proud of all of us for keeping this thread going, motivating each other, and sharing what we learned along the way. There were some amazing success stories.
I lost 4 pounds this past three months, but at least I didn't gain. I have to get my butt in gear to prevent the holiday pounds at bay!

SW 9/14/20-255 lbs (Heaviest wt second time, Started new job, less stress, not having a micromanager anymore!)
UGW-122 lbs ( lowest wt 2009, kept off about 5 years, got lazy and then had a bad fx and had to learn to walk again)
Surgery 5/3/21-240.5 lbs (gallbladder)
MFP SW 5/14/21-232.2 lbs

8/15/21-207.8 lbs
8/22/21-204.4 lbs
8/29/21-203.0 lbs. Doing well. Keeping on track. I'm not sure if I'll meet my goal of under 200 lbs by 9/1/21 AM weigh in but I can't complain about 9 lb loss! I'm doing a procedure prep today for Monday, of Clear liquids + so that may help me reach it! The good part of the prep! Routine test for a bad family history of 3 generations and praying for a clean bill of health! Started using my Elliptical last Sunday, instead of walking, as it was raining all day. Hadn't used it since pre 10/15. It burns a lot more calories and gets my heart rate up exponentially.
9/1/21- 200 lbs. Well missed my goal by 0.1 lbs! But who can be upset with 12 lbs in a month loss? Without being hungry or exhausted. I also have a recent NSV. I had a Tibial Plateau Fracture in 10/15 and since have had to take 1 stair at a time and meet it with the other leg going up. (Coming down I can alternate most times.) I can now alternate steps going up. Losing 55 lbs has accomplished this! Oh well, ONWARD AND UPWARD. MAYBE IT SHOULD BE ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!
ML-12 lbs
MLGW-199.9 lbs
9/1/21-200.0 lbs
9/5/21-200.4 lbs- So my 9/1 weight showed the clear liquid prep I had to do obviously. So not surprised by the slight uptick in weight today. I did stay true to my calorie, carb restrictions and exercise routine though. Keeping my 195 lb goal for October1 and 190 lb for November1.
I did 97 minutes/8 miles on my Elliptical this AM. I
Longest time/mileage so far. I got my heart rate up to 140-150.
9/12/21-198 lbs- I've been doing 99 minutes/8 miles, on my Elliptical on my 3 days off. Stayed true to my Net Carbs and calories this past week.
9/19/21-194 lbs!!!! OMG! I can't believe this. I expected my weight loss to slow down by now. I may need to amend my End Goal! Still staying true to my Net Carbs, Calories and doing my Elliptical 99 minutes/8+ miles, 3 days/week on my days off.
9/26/21-192.8 lbs Doing well, staying on track. Still doing Elliptical on my off work days.
10/1/21-191.4 lbs
ML-8.6 lbs- Under my month goal!!
MLGW-195 lbs
10/1/21-191.4 lbs
10/3/21-189.8 lbs Met my goal but don't intend to back off. Maybe I'll get below 180!? Bumped up my Elliptical from 98 minutes today to a full 2 hours. Started as a 6 minute cool down and then did the extra 15 more. Felt great afterwards!
10/10/21-188.8 lbs- down 23.2 lbs of challenge goal of 22 lbs! Upped my Elliptical to 130 min a few days ago.
10/17/21-186.2 one-time 68.8.lbs. Upped my Elliptical this week to 140 minutes and did 151 minutes today because I wanted the 12 miles! I'm more than halfway through my 133 lbs loss goal.
10/24/21-182.6 lbs, doing well, staying on track with calories, carbs, water and still doing Elliptical minimum 150 minutes 3x/week on my off days. Quite happy about my loss. Maybe I'll get under 180 lbs for 11/1/21. 72.4 lbs down so far! Got to keep on keeping on!
Down 29.4 lbs of my 22 lb Aug-Oct challenge goal!
10/27/21-180.8 lbs today, OMG!!!! So first goal was 190 lbs for 11/1, then second goal was 185 lbs, then third was 182.2 lbs. Now I'm thinking Fourth new goal for the month of180 lbs or maybe 179.9 lbs?
Also got into size 12 jeans today easily! And a pretty leather belt I bought in Bermuda in 1992 fits again! Last hole but it works!
10/31/21-181 lbs- Did my usual uptick before a drop after Wednesday. Went up to 182 lbs for 3 days and expected a drop. It did but only to 181.0 lbs. Was really hoping for the 180 or 179.9 lbs. But I'm going to be legalistic and count todays diet/exercise and count November 1, AM weigh in. But... I am down 31 lbs of my original Challenge Goal loss of 22 lbs.
11/1/21-181.8 lbs. Didnt make my fourth goal for November. :-( But stayed on track with carbs, calories, water and exercise, so just normal weight fluctuation.
ML-9.6 lbs
MLGW-181.8 lbs
CGWL-30.2 lbs
CWL-73.2 lbs

@swimmom_1 You are doing fantastic!

Height: 5'5"
Highest Weight: 174.0 lbs (6/7/21)
Ultimate Goal: 130 lbs
August 1st Weight: 172-174 lbs (didn't weigh in as it was my birthday weekend!)
Weight Lost in August: ~4.2 lbs.
Weight Lost in September: 3.8 lbs.
Weight Lost in October: 2.0 lbs.
Total Lost This Challenge: ~10 poundsAugust thoughts: Joining late, but I was on vacation from 8/1-8/11! And I managed to LOSE about 4 lbs!!! On vacation! I didn't think it possible, but honestly, after some reflection I realized it was simply because I didn't eat until I was hungry on my road trip. That's all!
But I needed that win badly. I have been trying to lose weight since the start of the pandemic (where I weighed 148 lbs after dropping a lot the previous year), and instead I only crept up. And up and up! But this body survived a pandemic and I'm not going to say anything bad about it.
However, with this new boost of motivation from accidental weight loss, I have a fire lit within me again (FINALLY) to stay on this track! Even just 5 lbs down, my rings feel looser, my face feels less bloated, and I just over-all feel so much better. I can only imagine what losing the extra 40 lbs will do!
My goal for the end of October will put me back in the healthy weight range for my height. I felt FANTASTIC there last year and can not wait to be back. But my biggest motivation this time around is because in October, we are going to start trying for a baby. I want to go into that next phase of my life happy and healthy, not just for myself, but for a hopeful future growing baby too.
I feel more focused, ready, and at peace with what's to come now more than ever. I know what to do and what's expected of me, and I couldn't feel more ready for it.

September thoughts: I am officially the lowest weight I've been in 2021 and I couldn't be more thrilled! My eating hasn't been "perfect," but it's been good enough, and every day, I feel perfectly content with what I've been doing which gives me so much hope that I'm setting myself up for success long term.
My September goal felt so far-fetched to me, just to be in the 150s again, but now it feels super attainable. I am more pumped than ever to reach it!
I am so close to 10 lbs down! And I know I've said this before, but I can't believe how much better I feel already. I swear I physically feel lighter! It's funny, because a few years ago, my current weight was my highest weight then and I felt so uncomfortable. But now, I know what it feels like to be heavier and I have a new appreciation for my current size. It really is all perspective, isn't it?
I'm not losing as fast as I originally hoped, so I readjusted my end goal of this challenge to 159 lbs (versus 147 lbs which is when I'll be a healthy BMI). And you know what? That's okay! I've been eating in a way that feels satisfying and super sustainable. I've been cooking more and making meals that are delicious--I'm just trying to eat smaller portions. And the crazy thing is that it's been working!
And this is top secret, my Internet friends, but as I mentioned in the start of this challenge (read spoiler for details), we are going to start trying for a baby this month! I didn't hit my weight goal, but I realized that pregnancy doesn't mean the healthy, mindful eating has to end. In fact, I should be considering what I eat more than ever! (Within comfort and reason, of course.) So I am keeping my eye focused on health and new habits, and if it takes us awhile to conceive, I will at least be able to continue to shoot for my ultimate goal in the meantime!
8/1: ~174 lbs
8/13: 171.4 lbs
8/18: 168.8 lbs
8/31: 169.8 lbs
9/10: 167.4 lbs
9/29: 167.0 lbs
10/1: 166.8 lbs
10/7: 165.8 lbs
10/11: 166 lbs
10/22: 167.4 lbs
10/31: 164.8
Final thoughts: I hit the 10 lbs. lost mark! So while it was far short of my original goal, I am happy with the progress in the end! I had a vacation mid-October and while it definitely slowed my progress, I didn't gain it all back which was my fear. Here's to an even better winter season! See you all in the next one!7 -
