My name is Donna. I am 61 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US.
Start Weight (from Aug 31st ): 186.8
Goal Weight: 181.8 (5 pound loss)
End of Challenge Weight: 186.2
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iβll know it when I get there!)
Sept 01: β¦..182.8 (Trend Weight 187.8) I find this weight hard to believe today. 4 pound loss overnight??? (After a 2.4 loss the day before???) My scale is reliable and I stepped on it 3 times but I donβt trust this and consider it a fluctuation. I did everything right. I had TM. I finally slept over 4 and Β½ hours which is good for me> But that is a bit much. Traveling today and tomorrow. Plenty of sitting and restaurant food. Iβll be home each night and will keep up with the posts. Friday morning my scale reading will not be pretty but that is how I roll.
Sept 05: β¦.. 188.2 (Trend Weight 187.8) I think the scale was inaccurate on the first. I will keep monitoring. However, I know I probably did go up 2-3 pounds due to comfort eating. I have had a very traumatic death in my family due to covid on a fully vaccinated person. Food doesnβt solve the problem so I am working on that but failing right now. Today is the large family BBQ with children and grandchildren to celebrate Labor Day. More food. I am hoping that next weekβs weigh in will be better and less complicated.
Sept 12: β¦..188.4 (Trend Weight 188.3) OMGosh you guys, Everyone has done so fantastic this past week! I am so proud of you all! You all will be my inspiration in the coming week! I have done pretty badly this past week due to stress eating from family death, plenty of travel, multiple medical appointments that involved travel, extreme health scares and home frustrations. However, I managed to reign it in yesterday and drop nearly a pound back off. I included lots of activity and kept my diet excellent until that late night snack. I will try even harder today. Turning this ship back around!
Sept 19: β¦..186.2 (Trend Weight 187.5) Some improvement on what has proved to be a difficult week to coordinate my goals and plans. I am going to take the ball and run with it! Iβm hoping for another good week. Outpatient Surgery coming up in a few weeks so I would like to be in a better place by then.
Sept 26: β¦..188.8 Too much travel this past week and not enough exercise for sure. Struggling again (after the string of days away from home and plan). Hunger and cravings are back as my body was spoiled off & on this month. Feels like Iβm back to square one but Iβll get through it. I am 2 pounds over starting weight and nowhere near goal. I suppose my goal now is just to improve everything by the end of the challenge. Any movement in the right direction will certainly help October.
Sept 30: β¦.. 0.6 lost for the round is better than nothing I suppose. See you next round.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

@ashleycarole86 Oops! I forgot to post my actual weight for Sept 30th (today). It was 186.2. Anyway, thanks for the compliment on the 0.6 lb loss. I suppose it is better than a gain! I'm shooting for a better October for sure. Your comments and support always mean a lot to me. Keep crushing it, my girl! You are doing wonderfully and I am inspired by you too!

Total loss for September: Well... so much for September ending on a good note. Things were going in the right direction, but something happened about ten days ago I'm still working through. Phooey.
For next month I am adjusting my goal up a few pounds. When I get there I will consider resetting it to what it has been for years. If the revised goal is more sustainable, then that's really fine. It's not what I WANT, but you can't always get what you want. I'll try sometimes. Perhaps I'll find that I get what I need.....2 -

Highest Weight: 420+ lbs
Sept Start Weight: 270 lbs
Sept Goal Weight: 265 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight: 150-ish lbs?
Sept 1: 270 lbs
Sept 8: 264.2 lbs
Sept 15: 261 lbs
Sept 22: 262.2 lbs
Sept 29: 266.2 lbs
Oct 1: 264.8 lbs MADE MY SEPTEMBER GOAL! Just barely
I did daily weigh-ins, which I don't usually do, for September. I did this because typically in Sept I gain 15 lbs, because hubs likes to celebrate his bday alllll month haha. So I really tried to stay accountable. I got down to as low as 260 but ended the month at 264.8 lbs
IDK if it attached properly, but I'm including a picture of the calendar with my weight fluctuations. The numbers in red are from shark week weigh-ins lol, and the underlined numbers are the mornings after binges or especially heavy dinners
Note* I put my goal on the calendar as maintain because, although I aim for a -5 lb loss per month, I wanted to at the very least maintain during hubbys birthday month
