Please join us starting on 9/9, for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 162!
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Newbie here! I like the idea of committing to just 10 days-easy!
Goals this round: Log daily, strength training 3 days/week, 90-100 grams protein most days.
I've got 18+ months of bad habits to undo...baby steps.5 -
36YO F on my second round! I once tipped the scales at 395. I’ve done a lot of hard work with IF to get to where I am now, and came to MFP to finally see my goal come to fruition. These 10 day challenges are great. I can do anything for 10 days!

71 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
Kicked the uneven sidewalk...landed on my face...messed up my right knee, calf and ankle. No walking for a while.

Ultimate goal: 98 lbs (subject to change)
SW (starting over--May 24, 2021): 160.3I started mfp on 2/20/11 at 160.2 lbs.
My lowest weight on mfp was 140 lbs in 11/2013 and 5/2014.
My highest weight ever: 168+ (and I wasn't even pregnant at that time... ) That was in 12/2016.
Just for the record used to be an athlete a long, long time ago. Used to teach Aerobics and Step Aerobics. Used to LOVE exercise.
Nowadays, I don't exercise at all. Why, oh why not? How can I go from loving exercise and doing tons of exercise to nothing at all?
Going from low blood pressure to being on medication for high blood pressure. What have I done to myself?!

Do your best and it will happen!

I’m excited to try a shorter challenge. I’m 5’6” and been stuck in the low 200s for a few years now and already slipped up with TWO spicy chicken sandwiches from Wendy’s today (still technically under my calorie total but…). I feel like this might help me set more reasonable weight loss goals instead of going all or nothing and having days like today.

- Return to old habits - exercise routine, meal prep, tracking calories, checking in!
Hi again, everyone! I’m returning to the group after a hiatus of several months - the last round I did was 147 back in April. I’d hit my goal weight and maintenance was going well… and then in May my husband’s company declared that they were changing their in-office policy to allow full-time remote work. We’d been wanting to move for years and this was our chance! So our summer turned into a whirlwind of getting our house in California on the market, buying a new house and moving ourselves, our stuff, two kids, two cats and a dog to Colorado in the middle of a pandemic. It was insane and incredibly stressful. I stopped following my exercise routine, started eating more sweets again and wasn’t tracking my weight at all. I finally unpacked the scale last week and found I’m back up to around 130. Not terrible, but not where I want to be. This group was a huge help before with support and accountability - so I’m back and will be using this round to get myself back into my old routines.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~ Round 162 (94th for me) . I really need this to help keep me on track, particularly over the next 2 weeks!
@QuiltingJaine- thank you yet again for setting up the new round.
Challenge for this round is to stay on track – Friday we are off for our main 2 weeks holiday, no flying abroad this year (due to Covid), we shall be taking our touring caravan, so for the major part I will be responsible for both choosing & providng food, so hope to come back at least the same as today, a loss will be a bonus – any loss will be a win! But still aware we shall be on holiday so will be indulging in an occasional treat – note to self “an occasional treat” !! A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.
Covid restrictions have mostly been lifted in England – we reached “freedom day” 2 months ago, but remember there is still a pandemic: Covid is still around! Continue to wash hands, be kind, wear a mask in public indoor settings, always consider others.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

9/8 134.2 – very pleased with this number, 1 pound down from end of last round, but very importantly I am back on track. Lunch with 4 of my siblings yesterday at Hickory Smokehouse, but despite all of their choices as least mine were sensible, I didn't feel deprived and I was able to stay within limits for the day – consistency is paramount. 9.81 miles walked yesterday.
SW:
Day/Weight/Comment
9/9 134.8 – 10 miles walked yesterday. I failed the iron test when I went to give blood; one more point down & I would have been referred to my GP, I feel I do have a balanced diet with sufficient iron (MFP shows that too!), I went on a bit of a chocolate feast when I got home Why ??!! So plans to increase iron in diet now in hand.

Last round I managed to break through a stall in weight loss, I think the walking is really paying off and I feel much more energetic. I will try to keep it up this week but I have some physically hard days coming up with fitting my new kitchen and building a faux brick wall so may be quite exhausted, we'll see...
9/09 - 160.2 STEPS? Didn't wear tracker SLEEP 7hrs23m Well that's strange, 2lbs up in one day! I've had a very stressful couple of days with teenager drama (cortisol) plus had bread with dinner (carbs) which usually causes water weight for me. Also didn't get much walking done yesterday so that's most likely why. Not sure if I should change my RGW or stick with it and hope for the best.
