Sticking to keying in all your daily intake

Hello everyone, I wanted to say that this is definitely working for me. I've been keying in all my daily intake since May 3rd 2021. I was 175 on that date and I'm now 156. It is a slow process for me but I am raising my 11 year old grandson so it's sometimes harder not to cheat. Just keep your head up and please pay attention to the protein-vitamin-calcium and fiber intake so that you won't have to take extra. Be safe and you can eat good just control your portions.

Thank you for sharing this! I am going to show your post to my friend. She is 175 lbs and always complains that it's impossible to lose any pound because of her age (46y.o.) So, here we go! Everything is possible and here's a great example 👍👏

kitkat: Yes, it can work. It's been working for me for almost 6 years now, loss (class 1 obese to healthy weight) then 5+ years maintaining a healthy weight since. I don't log every single day anymore, but most of the time I do.

I lost 50+ pounds at age 59-60, after around 3 previous decades of overweight/obesity, while severely hypothyroid besides (properly medicated).

46 y/o is a mere youth, if you ask me . . . but low expectations with aging are all too common these days, whether low expectations of ourselves, or the expectations others have of us. (I'm 65, female.) Don't buy into those nonsensical ideas. Sure, we tend to get a little wear on the tires eventually, but most changes by age 46 (that are not diagnosed illness/disability) are about changes in our behavior, habits, lifestyle. Those can change.

Lots of people here on MFP have lost weight at 46 and way beyond, and even maintained the loss long term.
