Post-Workout Meal help

Hey guys, I finished my workout a little over two hours ago, but I didn't get to have my post workout meal because of bad preparation. I need help, where do I go from here?

Meal timing around a workout is majoring in the minors. Eat what you normally would, assuming it is nutritionally balanced.

I may also need help in figuring out whether it’s advisable to eat anything now at all or just wait until lunch. As in will it still offer the same benefits to my muscles as if I ate post workout fuel on time (on time being 1-2 hours, according to many in the fitness field).

Again majoring in the minors. While more optimal, the effects are little if any unless you're a highly trained elite athlete. For average people, meal timing is of little significance. And contrary to popular belief, muscle rebuilding happens on your rest day and not after a workout with a post workout meal. Save your calories for full meals.

Dude, it's one day. You're overthinking this, stressing yourself unnecessarily.

Even as a *life pattern*, eating timing is generally majoring in the minors as others have said (as compared with quality of training routines, proper calories for your goal, overall good nutrition, adequate sleep, and other factors).

One day, one workout, one post-workout snack? Pfft. The stress you're feeling may even have more negative impact than that will. Take a deep breath, have a snack if you feel hungry, wait until lunch if you don't. It's NBD, truly.

Never stress the timing of meals on one day, they will have no impact on you overall.

Eat if you feel the need to eat. Wait if you don't.

Well overthinking has been a struggle of mine, so um yeah.
