I also moved a lot chasing a toddler grandson around most of the day. No TMI is likely the reason but it still is so disheartening! Shopping today over 100 miles away each way. Restaurants and car sitting wonโ€™t help but there will be walking in the stores.

    12/19.โ€ฆ..191.0โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 190.4)โ€ฆ.. A small drop on the scale after the way I ate yesterday during my travels and city Christmas shopping? Iโ€™m sure that lunch and dinner from yesterday (over-abundance) will rear itโ€™s ugly head on the scale in the coming days. It was nice to (mainly) finish my shopping and spend time in the city with my daughter!

    12/20.โ€ฆ..191.2โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 190.5)โ€ฆ.. I attended a viewing and full memorial service yesterday for a friend Iโ€™ve known for 20 years. She was 55. She died suddenly after an asthma attack. She used her inhaler, dropped to the ground and never recovered. Such a shock! It was difficult seeing the extreme grief of her children and her husband. This will be a hard one to get over. I say goodbye and good riddance to 2021!

    12/21.โ€ฆ..191.4โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 190.5)โ€ฆ.. I had a full-on binge yesterday of BBQ chips and donuts that I bought at the store when I went to get water. It was so bad that I skipped dinner just to off-set the calories. I feel like death warmed over today. I have none of the energy that good foods would have given me. This is just another example of my food killing me, like a poison because of my relationship with it. Iโ€™ve got to do better! I know this was emotional eating. Too many death's this month. But it solves nothing!

    12/22.โ€ฆ..192.2โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 190.7)โ€ฆ..Pros: Meals were on point. Small & Healthy. Cons: Lost track of time but no TMI again (at least x2). Started baking Christmas cookies. Too much taste testing.

TMI helped my lower number on the scale (finally), but I am not liking that trend weight. It appears to have no faith in me when it goes up as my weight is going down on the scale. Oh Ye of Little Faith. I will show it what Iโ€™ve got!

I admit to the taste testing of the fudge and the snack of a couple of cookies but, come on! 2 ยฝ pounds. What in the world have I done to my metabolism? Christmas family feast tonight will only make matters worse!

    12/27.โ€ฆ..192.6โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 191.5)โ€ฆโ€ฆ Okay, so TMI took care of that huge overnight weight gain. Our family feast was last night for the Holiday so my scale is up 0.6 from two days ago which is probably fair. Now, to get through the leftovers without too much damage!

    12/28.โ€ฆ..193.6โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 191.7)โ€ฆโ€ฆ I became very ill after the family Christmas party and dinner Sunday night. The pasta last night was easy on the throat but hard on the scale apparently.

I hope this passes quickly. Iโ€™m double vaccinated and boosted and no one else in my home (or family after our gathering) is sick so I donโ€™t think itโ€™s covid. I do know itโ€™s horrid!

    12/30.โ€ฆ..192.0โ€ฆ..(Trend Weight 191.7)โ€ฆโ€ฆ Sickness getting worse. Moving into chest now. Lots of phlegm. Throat hurts from the coughing, not illness but itโ€™s bad pain. Pressure in ears. Still no temp. I am hearing about other illness in my general area. Omnicon not within 150 miles of my county. Only 9 counties in Michigan affected and they are all downstate so I donโ€™t think that is involved still. Good small meals yesterday of good choices but there was Christmas cookies and only 4000 steps as I layed on the couch most of the day.

    December 2 - 192 (Had a work dinner out last night to celebrate my 15 year work anniversary. Volunteering tonight so I have to work extra hard to find time for my exercise.)

    December 5 - 191.8 (Setting up the Christmas tree today. Yay!)

    December 18 - 187.4 (Started my morning with an FTP test on the Peloton and was pleased with my improved fitness level. It's lovely to get my exercise out of the way early... not that I don't have more movement planned, but the hard stuff is done!)
    December 19 - 187.4 (Had a nice day yesterday, managed to get in a lot of walking with some nicer weather here yesterday. Watched some Christmas movies. Lots to get done again today!)
    December 20 - 188.2 (Fourth day in a row weighing in the 180's... had a streak like this last week before bouncing up again so hoping to make tomorrow five! Yesterday my husband and I made homemade cabbage rolls.. lots of steps and time on my feet.)
    December 21 - 188.6 (Met my goal of a longer streak in the 180's than last week. Woo hoo! Had an unplanned dinner out yesterday but I kept it reasonable and did a bit more exercise at night to off-set it.)
    December 22 - 186.2 (Fun dinner out with friends last night at a restaurant that has turned into a Christmas themed pop-up restaurant for the month of December. Pre-selected my drink and food before I got there so I was able to stay on track.)
    December 23 - 187.8 (Happy to be holding steadily in the 180's. Good training ride on the bike yesterday and a fun dinner with friends. The two hard days for me food wise will be the 24th and 25th. Goal still remains to enter 2022 in the 180's so I should be on track for that no matter what!)
    December 24 - 189.2 (Well folks, the holidays are upon us! Take time with loved ones and remember what is important.... the company of those you love! And being gentle with ourselves around small breaks for the habits we're employing most of the year.)

    Ok, that's not so bad! I can live with 1.2lbs gain for all the fun I had in December! I'd been dieting for 5 solid months so a break was due anyway. I'm 24lbs lighter than I was 2 years ago, no idea what I was this time last year but at a guess, I was at least 30lbs heavier, so that's awesome! Ready to get back on it now, after one last blow out tonight and a new year's day breakfast tomorrow, then on with the hard work.

    Lost 2.3 lbs, while shy of my 4 lb goal Iโ€™ll take it due to the holidays and contracting COVID.

    My weekly weigh-in is Wednesday. No movement from yesterday.

    This has been my most consistent month so far. I prefer the consistency. I have 3 lbs to lose to reach my December goal. I really think we all should applaud the fact that we are on this journey to our healthier version of ourselves in the fun crazy month of December and not forget in a pandemic. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

    So one pound to go to hit my December goal but the next 2 weeks will be filled with snacking and Christmas cheer temptations. My 7 day average weight it 182.2 lbs. I remind myself that because of the awareness that stepping on the scale today was a positive but not constant. Again love this group for the support.

    Wednesday regular weigh-in. Though I am a 1lb more than last Wednesday. My weekly average went down to 180.9 lbs. Feeling pretty good that my weight is constant. 2 more pounds to lose.

    My regular weigh-in lost 2.5 lbs in December. I will take it. My 7 day average weight was 181lbs. I really enjoy the process of this challenge but with a heavy heart I won't be able to participate the next 3 months. Simply I won't have daily access to a scale to weigh myself. I will be in Mexico for 3 months. I hope I will be allowed to join again for April. I will finish off December.
