haha sorry.. count it as writing out as i am thinking.

translation - Which would be better to eat - rice, corn, potatos? Or protein and fruit consisting of a big steak slathered with garlic butter and cherry pie? the 2nd is protein and fruit, but which of the two choices (each sentence) will be better for your diet?
are you asking what is healthier for you in the long run? because that wasn't the question that the OP asked.

and seriously - neither of your choices sound very ... good/healthy. big steak slathered in butter with pie on the side vs. carbs carbs carbs no protein? yeah. I would say that people should eat what they want, within the parameters of their diet. if you find that a steak slathered with butter works for you - then go for it. if you prefer the carbs carbs and more carbs - then go for it. if you find that a middle-road approach (mixture of carbs/proteins, healthy grains, fresh fruit, with occasional forays to yummy desserts and fast food) works for you - then do that.

Dude- eat the bread. I have gone over my carbs EVERY DAY and by a LOT for the last three weeks- it hasn't slowed down my weight loss much. I really have no choice in what foods I eat right now, so I just got to deal with what I get. College budget problems, oh well.

For those of you prattling on about carbs, the bread the OP mentioned has the lowest carb content in bread that I know of - only 12g carbs per slice. It is absolutely full of seeds and is very filling. So if you have to eat bread but want to keep carbs relatively low, this is the bread to eat.

Having said that, it is also relatively high in calories - must be all those seeds!

Best luck to everyone on their journeys!
