    Successes/struggles of the week: Last month's average weights were still high, but my weight dropped back down this week, hitting 110.6 yesterday. I managed to get in 18k+ steps on two days this week, since the weather has been pretty nice lately.

    Success of the week: My bike commutes still continue to be just a little faster, except one day when I just took it easy and enjoyed the view.

    Struggle of the week: Work is getting into my head, even when I'm not there. Other things in our world also are weighing on me, and I think I'm packing some weight back on because of my response to it.

    Successes/struggles of the week: Finally back in the game after a bad couple binges at the end of February (first in over a year) mixed with a week in an all inclusive in Mexico. I was restricting too much and working out too much to prep for my vacation and mentally hit a bad break right before I left.

    Learning how to process that and going to move forward as best I can while while adjusting my maintenance range a couple pounds higher since I think my lower range was too difficult to stay around. My weight is still actually coming down over a week later (was 138.6 last week!) I actually ate fairly well on vacation, but enjoyed more drinks and sugar than I usually would and man, do I retain water nowadays!

    Maintenance is a whole other beast.

    I spent an evening out with my daughter and little grandson at the theatre, including a meal out. Also went out Saturday evening for a meal and dancing. But still saw a small weight drop over the week.

    @RAxB " I was restricting too much and working out too much to prep for my vacation " it is such a temptation to go too far in prep for an occasion, I feel your pain.

    Successes/struggles of the week: I am still measuring my portions but haven't been as fastidious with tracking--and the needle is starting to trend down again. I feel more confident that I won't always need to track everything all the time because I have a better handle on what is "normal" for me. I made a new plan for ST and so far, so good. Struggle continues to be limiting sodium intake. I know it is because I eat too much processed food but I don't see that changing in the near future, or perhaps, ever.

    Struggles:
    • Negotiating birthday celebration for DYD’s birthday yesterday. I was busy before and after lunch so little opportunity to do extra exercise. Slightly under daily step goal.
    • Stress related to organising the reconvening of some of my groups, and doing prep for the two for yesterday. There were problems relating to room bookings. Both activity sessions had to be cancelled.

    Success/Struggle: Weight is going up. Not good. I have no excuses this week. No dinner's out. I even got out and did a little yard work. I think extra calories are slipping in. That's always been my problem. Just follow the plan, I am plan. Straying, not so fine.

    Successes/struggles of the week: Tweaked my knee the other week and took last week off to heal since my 8k is this Sunday. I’ve really been looking forward to it, so I want to be at my best. Went for a trial run yesterday and it wasn’t great, but wasn’t awful. Going to try and get some good stretching in this week and make sure to really warm up and cool down for workouts.

    Successes/struggles of the week: I've struggled with eating enough freggies this week and too much processed/high sodium foods. I have been successful with my exercise and being more consistent with ST. Having a little trouble adjusting to the time change but I am getting to bed at a reasonable hour.

    Success of the week: Fastest bike commute in quite some time! Also, not health/fitness related, but a success anyway: I completed a training that I have to do every two years. I now will be able to renew a couple of my licenses at the end of 2023 and continue to be certified through 2025.

    Struggle of the week: Allergy season is upon us; just trees for now, but I am in the Grass Seed Capitol of the World.

    Pleasant wish of the week: For those in the northern hemisphere: Happy Spring! The March Equinox occurred just over a half hour ago. Oddly, our day length exceeded twelve hours three days ago.

    Successes/Struggles:
    Well, the week away included hotel dinners and breakfasts and sandwich lunches. We also spent several hours sitting in a coach on our homeward journey. So a spike in weight when I weighed myself the next day. However, this should settle down within a few days, just need to get back on track.

    ps it looks like I forgot to post on the 14th - but I had to get out of the house early to catch the coach to go away.
