Timing of exercise

I wonder how I could suggest to mfp that we could log the times of our exercise as well as food?

To make a feature suggestion, make a post in this part of the MFP Community:

Meantime, putting it in "exercise notes" as wolfman suggested is probably the best work-around.

Many people these days use a fitness tracker device (synched to MFP or not), and some models of those do keep track of exercise type and time, as well as (with some models) other useful stats about the exercise. (For example, mine estimates strokes per minute for on-water and machine rowing, tracks distance for walk/bike/on-water rowing, etc.) They tend to have associated apps that will let you do some kinds of queries/reports, too. Trackers are admittedly potentially expensive, but if you're interested in more detailed exercise tracking, it's an option to consider.

On the iOS app you can see the start and length of exercises that an Apple Watch records by drilling down into the listed exercise. Not sure of other trackers.
