Tokyo 2022

Hello all who may or may not read this,
My name is Ko. I’m a personal trainer in Tokyo. It looks like there hasn’t been many discussion boards for fitness enthusiasts in Japan, so I’ll start it off. The reason why I’m here is to be accountable for my own diet (weight loss/get leaner) and training on top of my new work schedule.
A typical day looks like this:
5am: wake up
5:15am: travel
6:30am - 12:30pm: AM shift
12:30pm - 2:00pm: training
2:00pm - 2:30pm: lunch
4:00pm: 2nd lunch
5:00pm - 8:30pm: PM shift
9:00pm: dinner
This will require extensive meal planning and prep, testing and gauging energy levels throughout the day, and balancing the above schedule with sleep and rest.
This schedule isn’t for everyone, but if you’re passion and line of work requires you to do so, it’s about adjusting and adapting to the changes and making small adjustments to be 100% all the time.
I’ve been using MyFitnessPal since high school (bulking days), and now, to get rid of my dad bod, to stay consistent and balanced with everything, and making this work for me.
If you have any questions, tips or just want to connect, don’t hesitate to add me here. Don’t forget to comment here too!

I could never wake up at 5am and work until 8:30pm. Do you expect that this is sustainable over the long term? It also doesnt look like there is a lot of time for family and friends. What will you do with all the unexpected things that c0me up in life? Look forward to reading what challenges come up and how you deal with them. Best of luck.0
