#Log100

Hello fellow humans,

I am embarking on a ride and my train is leaving the station tomorrow morning.

Where am I boarding from?

I am 46 years young and after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 mutation, paired with my family history, I decided to undergo a full hysterectomy and said goodbye to my ovaries 15 months ago.
I woke up to full on post menopause, or what is called surgical menopause.

While I am getting hormonal replacement therapy, I have gained 20 pounds over these months and am experiencing heaviness and lethargy.

My endocrinologist said that 95% of women who will undergo this surgery will gain that much weight on the first year post surgery, to which I answered, "What do the 5% do?"
She smiled and said, "Low carb, intermittent fasting, lift weights."

Where am I heading to?

Starting tomorrow I will come here to log 100 days of my intermittent fasting window, what I ate, what exercise I did, and my weekly weigh-in progress.

My goal is to slowly but consistently release 40 pounds while maintaining muscle.

What am I taking with me for the ride?

Protocols: since I am experienced with different protocols of intermittent fasting, I plan to do mostly the 20:4 protocol, perhaps throw one 18:6 protocol day and OMAD once a week.

Exercise: I am planning to do outdoor walks and home body weight and dumbbells exercises by myself; no trainer.

Current Weight (CW) = 172 pounds
Goal Weight (GW) = 132 pounds

Enjoy the ride! B)
