Hi!

I'm Christi. I'm 57 and live in a small town in Central Illinois. I have health issues that keep me from working out to an effective level, but really need to get the weight off. I need all the motivation I can get!

You can do it! I am restarting. But I know it works.

    Hi, Christi, and welcome!

I know that exercise limitations make things more complicated, but at the root weight management is about getting calorie intake where it needs to be in comparison to calorie expenditure. Even just being alive (hearbeat, etc.) and daily life (job, chores, etc.) tend to burn more calories for most people than exercise, so there's every reason to believe you can succeed.

Any exercise you're able to do (without risking injury or the like) is a bonus for health and fitness of course, but it's the calorie balance that will be key for weight loss. We've had folks here who were partially paralyzed with very limited mobility, who've succeed in losing weight, for example.

    Wishing you success!
