I returned from Vegas June 23. I tracked my consumption for the duration of the trip and knew there would be a small fat gain. Prior to the trip, I had taken myself to just under the bottom section of my maintenance range in anticipation of this. When I got home, my first weigh-in right after (which I wanted to take for data) was off the charts high - way beyond any normal number for retention.
It was a success because:
1) I was shocked by the number even knowing the impacts of flying, sodium, etc. on retention.
2) I didn't overact or try to do anything drastic in response to the number because I had my data and a good understanding of what to expect.
3) I put myself on a reasonable deficit and got back on track and was back into my maintenance range in no time.

I’m gaining 1.1 lbs per month on avg over the past 4 months or 3,850 cals / 31 days = 124 cals over per day (or fewer burned calories)
So my gains can likely be explained by fewer active calories burned per day.

Success of the week: After nearly a month celebrating and the accompanying weight increases, I have started to get back deeper into maintenance range and could hit my smaller "ideal" range very soon.
Struggle of the week: I pulled a ~different~ muscle in leg playing disc. This time it was my calf. Same leg. Could be tight hamstrings or achilles.

June was busy with two short breaks away and family celebrations, but I managed to keep within my maintenance range (just!) and I’m starting July in a good place weightwise.
I have had some family issues to deal with that are upsetting but I need to move on and prioritise my own health and mental welfare.

I had a very busy work week but I still managed to get reasonable sleep and stay on track with my Peloton training plan.
I also passed on an opportunity for pizza last night.. I have no issued with pizza but it wasn't in the plan and would have put me over. I had a perfectly good plan for a shrimp rice bowl and let that be enough. There will always be more pizza, and I don't have to let others decide what goes in my mouth!3 -

Successes/struggles of the week: Weight is still up, though trending back down slowly. Things have settled down a bit and I'll be able to do some more cooking and eat more fresh fruit etc. which will help. One good thing about my weight being up lately though is that I've gone up quite a bit on some of my lifts.3 -

Successes: significantly boosted my exercise, ate very healthily, began veggie prep again, calories much lower the past couple of days (actually this could be.because I didn’t hike)
Struggles: just keeping at it, working to decrease calories more, continue veggies/fruit, the beginnings of plantar fasciitis seems to be a bit better, heat wave about to hit tomorrow, summer heat always makes it a struggle for me not to gain. Feeling pudgy, but I keep looking at my “All Time Wt Graph” and my BMI, and remind myself that I am not!
I think this is the summer I figure that out.

Success of the week: Still in my absolute maintenance range. Had a fun Ultimate game. Been grazing on fresh berries in the yard. Enjoying the weather. Celebrated two dear friends getting married.
Struggle of the week: I danced too much at the wedding and re-injured my calf. The day after the wedding was a memorial service for a friend and former boss who died way too young from a freak accident. It's a shame it takes such a tragedy to bring such a diverse group of good people together.
Additional note: When I look at a graph of my trending weight (a weighted moving average), it appears I've maintained my weight in about a six-pound range for nearly an entire year. Most of that time it actually was within a four-pound range. Over that same time, even if I look at daily readings that fluctuate a lot more, I've been well within a ten-pound range. So this is maintenance. That's a success AND a struggle because my goal has been to maintain a little lower than I have. Yes, I can change that goal, and maybe I will. Current weight is a healthy weight; a little lower might be just a tad healthier or not at all.

Last week I was away in my motorhome for a few days and had some treats. So, my weight was up at the end of the week which is why the trend weight is still higher than today’s weigh-in.
Success – I didn’t do overboard on treats and have got back control.
On Wednesday I set off again on holiday – this time a cruise down the Rhine, mostly through Germany. It’s all-inclusive so I’m going to have to exert much will power.

Success/Struggle: I was very busy the week before last and on vacation last week but didn't gain or lose.
I did lots of kayaking so I burned calories but the meals were served with no choices except eat it or not.
My struggle now is Covid. I'm back tracking and eating off my planned meals. I have eaten to feel better but not this time. Actually nothing makes me feel better. I am glad it isn't severe and so forth but I still don't like it.5 -

My movement was great this week, many days with over 20,000 steps.
I attended many corporate events where there were all you can drink types of setups and I didn't overindulge.
Despite that, I did however drink more alcohol this week than I normally would and ate a few fair food items which put me over my allotment.3 -

Successes: significantly boosted my exercise, ate very healthily, began veggie prep again, today, I cut out a good thati began to think was a trigger for me & upped healthy fats/decreased grains & watermelon.
Struggles: some whacky “wanting to eat” episodes. Feel pudgy, but I know that’s my monkey brain who just wants my old way of eating.
Curtailing eating (other than veggies) after 8pm. streak: 1
This gives me a10 hr eating window, which I think will be workable & helpful.
I think this is the summer I figure that out.
