Struggling to gain, need advice/encouragement

Options
I’ve been trying to gain weight for a while now, and I’ve really been struggling due to low appetite/getting full really easily. Also, a lot of the foods suggested in the “hard gainer” thread (pizza, peanut butter, avocados, ice cream, etc.) I can only handle in very small amounts without just feeling bloated and in pain. I eat some of the other foods listed (eggs, chocolate, cheese, etc.) but it doesn’t seem to be making a difference.

I do have an appointment scheduled with a GI specialist to see if there’s some underlying issue, but I was looking for some advice and encouragement in the meantime because I’ve been really discouraged lately, which just serves to further lower my appetite.

I’m 5’4, about 90 pounds, would like to weigh at least 110. Walk about a mile every day, but that’s not all in one shot - just moving around the house and maybe taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. So I’m not that active.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I guess until you get that medical information, it's just doing what feels good in your system.

i'm 5'4'' too! I weigh 128-129 and trying to get to 135 while keeping bf the same, around 11% . I LOVE whole milk (organic valley grassfed is delicious) with steel cut oatmeal/pastured eggs, 80/20 grass fed beef with plenty of ketchup/random veggies/pasta. I'll also do greek yogurt (i have to do 0% on this one sadly, whole fat greek yogurt reminds me of some...rotten cheese or something, and I LOVE cheese) with plenty of strawberries, peaches and more whole milk.

Do you or can you spread out your eating more through the day, to get to a higher total? Like more meals and snacks, allowing each of them to be a little smaller/more manageable?

That’s what I’ve been doing but i think psychologically it’s worse for me. Because I get even more disappointed in myself that I can’t reach my goal when it feels like I’m always eating.
