Hey everyone I’m new to the whole Macro/ Calorie thing and I’m trying to loose weight. I have a lingering question about weight loss and loosing fat. In order to loose weight is meeting or staying under my macros for the day enough or am I supposed to be burning more calories than I consume? I’m open to any advice or suggestions! Thanks in advance.

Calories for weight loss. Macros for satiety.1

What Quik said . . . though I'd expand, say macros for satiety, body composition, energy level, and overall health. Calories for bodyfat loss for sure, though.
But it turns out that if you stay close to all your macros, or a little under, and don't consume alcohol calories (which aren't any macronutrient) . . . you should be under your calorie goal, too.
Each macro has a characteristic approximate calorie level. Protein and carbs have about 4 calories per gram, fats have 9 calories per gram, alcohol 7 calories per gram.
Counting macros accurately to sensible goals, or counting calories to a sensible goal, should get you to about the same bodyweight results - assuming you're an average healthy person without complicating health conditions.1
