Starting Over Again, want to come with?

I'm Jill, I'm 5'2", 187 pounds as of this morning. About 5-6 years ago I was 155 and was so happy and proud of myself. Running and eating well and somewhere there I just slowly got off the train of healthy habits and I'm looking to start again. My clothes don't fit well, I have plural chins and diabetes runs in the family so I know this is something I need to be successful at as long as possible.
It's going to be hard and I know it. I'm married now, so it's a lot harder to not indulge with someone or eat what they're eating. (My husband remains small no matter what he eats.)
Looking for friends to follow and help motivate each other and exchange our wins and losses, lift each other up when we need it. etc. Bonus if you're in the Midwest since you know what it's like to live inside 6 months of the year and still get physical activity.

Hi, Jill, and welcome!
I started out here close to your weight (183 in my case), though I'm a little taller (5'5"), and thn used MFP to lose from that weight to a healthy weight. That was 6+ years ago, and I'm here maintaining in the healthy range since.
I'm kind of a sub-par MFP friend (more of a Community forum gal, I guess), and at a different phase of the process, but wanted to stop by your thread and greet you, at least.
I'm in (I guess) the Midwest (Great Lakes region), too, so I hear you on the seasonal stuff. Right now, I'm about to do my annual grumpy shift from on-water rowing and biking on our local trail system, to indoor workouts.
I'm generally not a believer in "motivation", since that's not my strongest skill . . . but it does take a little jump-start of motivation from my limited motivation budget to make that shift, each year. One plus is that the more years I practice that shift, the more tactics I have in my bag of tricks to make it happen! If nothing else - as you probably know from past experience - I reach a point after a while where I feel crummy if I don't exercise at all, and that gets me going again.
Wishing you much success here!2
