    10/07-126.0 (hotel scale) foggy, and rainy yesterday afternoon so I spent most of the day under the bedcovers on the computer. I ended the day with salty food and too much wine. I will see my niece today, who I have not seen in 5 years, and hopefully, I will remember to stay with safer food and less wine.

    /did not exercise as planned/ I spent 6 hours with my dad at the emergency room last night. What seemed like it could have been a stroke, ended up being a terrible case of bronchitis, which made him dizzy. Glad it was not a stroke, but he needs to take better care of himself and go to the doctor when things aren’t right. He wears his avoidance of medical help like a badge of honor. My mom on the other hand will go to the Dr. for a hang nail. Quite the pair.

    /nada/ We had a dinner party at our house last night and DW must have hidden the scale so guest wouldn’t see it in the bathroom. Let me also say I was not eager to find it after last nights me

    /meetings galore. No activity/ Didn’t expect this jump in scale reading. I guess I shouldn’t expect anything at all if I don’t pay attention to what I eat and do at all.

    Sometimes dealing with whole numbers can make things look more depressing. I was just “this close” to 216.

    Per ER orders, dad is to see his GP within 3 days. I made the appointment, and I am taking him. This looks like the beginning of an era.

    @Machias1949 that hotel staircase sounds spooky and kind of amazing. Certainly a sight to behold if not a staircase to climb/descend.

I am still grabbing fast “convenience foods” because of the lack of kitchen and the workers here, but I am trying to keep good grab choices available. I’ve just got to keep trying to lower the carbs. My glucose has not been good, even when I’ve had a “good day” on the scale or with my calories.

    @wakegrrl I never have understood the concept of eating back exercise calories. You exercise to burn them (and speed up your metabolism) and then eat them back??? If you are getting proper nutrition in the foods you DO eat, you shouldn’t need to eat those burned calories. I seldom ate my exercise “points” when I did WW back in 2008-9.
