The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans state that people should engage in at least 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking, or 75 minutes per week of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, such as running, or an equivalent combination of the two. Spreading out your aerobic exercise throughout the course of the week is ideal. Adults also require at least two days per week of muscle-building exercises like callisthenics or weightlifting.

A little exercise is preferable to none. Adults who move around more and spend less time sitting down benefit health-wise.

The above sounds reasonable. But think about countries where they have longer life spans where the majority of the population DON'T do exercise intentionally. The one main thing they have in common is just that they are physically active.
I think this is geared to Americans because let's face it................70% are too lazy or have no interest in any form of physical activity to help keep their weight down and fitness intact.
