Adding exercise manually

Is there any way to add exercise, including calories, manually? I go to a fitness study that uses a heart rate monitor to calculate my calories, but it isn't a supported app or device.

Sure, in the MFP exercise diary, you can add exercise manually. You can either use one of their descriptions and change the calorie estimate when you log it (to something you believe to be more accurate), or you can create a custom exercise. I've done both, at different times. Once you add a custom exercise, MFP will scale it proportionately when you do different minutes, or when your bodyweight changes, because behind the scenes it's using a METS estimating approach/assumptions.
If that's not enough info to get you started, say so, and I'll run through the mechanics in more detail.3 -
I always change the calorie burn for my stationary bike workouts. MFP always gives me more calories than either my watch or the bike itself. It's very easy to do.1

Wben you go to Add Exercise, use the Cardio option. Yes, even if doing weights, though it may seem counter-intuitive.2

Thanks for the tips everyone!1
